05 2500 wont start without ether. Once its started it will run all day as fast or slow as needed and idles fine. Once you turn it off wait thirty seconds, wont start. I took to dodge and they say injectors but these injectors only have 60,000 on them. Also had to replace fuel pump because it kept blowing at the return on the pump. If it were injectors it wouldnt be putting out that much pressure. I have been told injection pump or fuel pressure regulator from different people, any ideas?

Your injectors are most likely toast. happened to me a few months after i bought the truck (used). first it was taking longer to start then it would not start without ether. had the injectors pulled and put them on a bosch test bench. all six failed for high return

same thing happened to my dads 03. after asking forum members it was agree to replace the injectors. my dad bit the bullet and got a new set. in -30 the truck turned over in less than a second. it sucks but just get new ones you'll be alot happier about it starting, just not so on the pocket book.

truck starts faster than it ever has.

I wouldn't use ether anymore if I were you, use silicone spray, its not as harsh on your engine.... I just had this issue not too long ago and replaced my pressure relief valve and fired right up. I've heard of bad injectors doing this as well.

Thanks everyone, took it to dodge they say 3 injectors are bad. Where can I find the best and cheapest to replace? Also where can I find the silicone spray in the meantime? Relief valve is located on rail right? The injectors in the truck only have 60,000 on them but dodge says algae in the fuel, any suggestions on a secondary filtering system so I can quit replacing injectors? Thanks for the help and sorry about so many questions!
