Who else hates Rams build/search website?

With Ram 2015's showing up on dealer lots with zero brochure support or help from the website, it's starting to burn that even their build/search for 2014 models is terrible.

And then to make matters worse, the dealer websites that we get linked to aren't necessarily accurate or the 'window sticker' link isn't available, forcing us to call the dealer to verify the information so that we can be heckled by po dink salesman.

I was hoping to jump on the band wagon and grab a discounted 2014, but I'm growing tired of searching. At this point, I'm going to wait until Ram gets off its a s s and updates its brochures and website.

They used the same people that set up the Obama Care web site...

I have no issues with their site, I'm on it literally every other day at the least.

Occasionally it won't load on the color screen but other than that, it's perfectly fine.

I think he is saying that it is a POORLY built website. They do not even have 2015 models up and they have been building them and dealers have them. And somethings on there are REALLY hard to find or are not even on it. And i agree with him.

If your looking to buy a 2014 model, why would you want a 2015 brochure? Call Ram and give them your specs to the 2014 truck you want and see if they can tell you where a match is. Then it would be up to you to travel there or have the truck delivered to you.

Try building a truck and doing a nation wide search and see what comes up!!
Oh no you cant do a nation wide search!! Nothing comes up and you need to call your local dealer.

I've been "searching" for the past 10 days, and nothing on the site matches reality. I called on a truck with a $58k MSRP and was told it is $64k. Even with the vin, trouble is still there.

ram could do a much better job with there website than they do. its pretty rough and glitchy. they switched to a better website for about a week then it went back! don't know why they did that. honestly ford and gm have significantly better website. not gonna stop anyone from buying a truck but it is slightly annoying

The search function does not allow specifying important criteria such as srw vs drw, or transmission. It does not allow entering multiple parameters before doing a search. Very poor use of customer time and computer/network reources.

Is everyone building their trucks on the owner website for Ram? When I bought my truck I went to the Dodge Ram site and signed up and I have been able to build and search with no problem. Every once in a while it is slow and glitchy but, normally it works fine. I believe any Dodge owner can register their vehicle on Dodges website.

When I'm actually looking to buy a truck I don't mess around with websites, I talk to dealers personally.

If you think that site is bad (and it is,lol) try rambodybuilder. Its supposed to be the official site for upfitting including how to wire in the upfitter switches, but it is absolutely terrible. Broken links, missing information, and absolutely everything is in PDF which needs to be downloaded, cant be enlarged without going blurry and is all sideways. Its like a voyage back to the early days of the 'net.

Oh, and my owners manual CD/ DVD wont play on my few month old computer. Id have download earlier versions of whatever lousy software they require. Absolutely awful.

I did a lot of searching in 2013, and learned to work with the quirks of the search. I went for over 200 miles, and then had to re-check the mandatory options, etc. It did work well for me and enabled me to find just what I wanted in a town I never would have checked otherwise.
