I have a 2008 and I do not know the size of the bolt that holds the front rotor on. Any one know, its bigger than a 36mm thats all I know. I need to get to the lug studs I had 3 stud break off when rotating the tires and need to replace them.

That nut is not holding the rotor on. That nut holds the axle shaft to the unit bearing.
Once you take wheel and caliper off, the rotor is "free" to come off. If you have never taken the rotors off, two issues.
1) There are 4 lock rings on 4 of the wheel studs that need to get cut off. Throw them away.
2) The rotor is probably rusted to the hub. Need to apply usual techniques. Penetrating oil, heat, and BFH hammer.
If I remember correctly, the nut that holds the axle to the hub is approximately 2 1/4". I'm pretty sure a 2 1/4" socket is what I used since I didn't have a metric socket that big.
Sorry I put rotor I meant the hub. My truck is 4WD so I have to remove the hub to get to the lug studs (i think).
