Hi, I have a cracked 53 block, other than that a pretty solid built truck, my question is can I put my 24v head, 188/220 cam and vp44 on a 6.7 short block. I already have everything I like on the truck, was just wanting a 6.7 so I could spool my turbo that the 5.9 was having trouble with, thanks

Would love to see some pics of that.
Will our 24 valve injectors fit in a 6.7 head?

So you already bought the 6.7 block? If not I would be looking in a junk yard. Its going to take a lot of work. IMO

It is a 99, I don't have an engine yet, my engine is in very good condition, other than the 6" long crack down the side, was just wondering if I could take all my stuff and put it on a 6.7 short block, if it's gonna be a big hassle, I might as well just find me another 5.9 block

If going through all that effort to spool a turbo a big better, why not swap to a full 6.7 common rail? The main reason the 6.7 can spool a big turbo is not because of the displacement, it's the wider range of dynamic timing, combined with many injection events with rail pressure exceeding 30,000 psi.

Yeah if going that far might as well swap the whole thing. Its been done before.

I really don't want a common rail engine because of the cost of injectors and other stuff, and I really don't like the way common rail exhaust sounds

How would the VP injectors work in a 6.7 head, does anybody have a link to a build

They would work just fine. You would need your vp engine laying next to the 6.7 if you decide to do this. Schied and Haisley sell the conversion connector tubes to run a cr head on vp truck. You would need the hold down and bolts for the hold downs to keep the injectors into place.

Either the hold downs or injector need to be machined.
