I'm not sure.... Either way, it won't matter next year, when 100% of on-road diesel is required to be ULSD.

 

If you have deletes then there is no reason not to run the LSD. I was doing this with mine since day one until about 2 weeks ago when my local Flying J quit selling it.... Oh and one more thing, you will get slightly better fuel milage with it as the BTU's are higher in the good old stuff!!

 

Thanks for the info. The Flying J here still supplies both blends, at least for now. Yesterday after I got fuel there it occurred to me that I can probably run the LSD that is pumped the Auto fuel island.

Thats a good question. I use Power Service but other than a little more smoke I don't see any difference really. I think it makes me feel better by doing something and thats about it!

 

I'd definitely go with the LSD. Its better fuel, I personally think it will make your engine last longer cause its a more 'lubricating' fuel versus the ULSD.

 

Just to be clear, you should have your NOx catalyst deleted for this, not just the DPF. The DPF shouldn't have any trouble with LSD, it's the NOx catalyst...

 

I've heard that every once in a while, it's ok. in DPF trucks, but prolonged use will clog it pretty fast.
