I'm putting a transfer case in my truck and was wondering if there are any upgrades to do to it so I won't have to do them later down the road? Are there any upgrades for them? I plan on building my truck and just want to make sure it will hold. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ok I have another question. What about the axles? At what point do those become the weak link? What are you guys doing to them to make them stronger? Thanks.

Alright. Well that's good to hear. I'm just wanting to make sure I'm not overlooking something that will become a major problem down the road. Thanks

Ya I have the 68rfe which is getting pulled and rebuilt. For the Spicer u joints those are just direct replacement right? Or do I need to change the yolks? Are the Caltracs better than traction bars?

You can upgrade your 1450 spicers in the rear drive shaft to 1485 which is what the G56 dodges come with for about $600. They just replace the slip-yoke from tcase and yoke from rear end. Then they machine off the drive shaft yokes and weld on new ones and then balance it.

Dang alright. I am a pretty conservative driver and am thinking about having my tranny built for about 800 horse and I'm only deleted so that shouldn't be a problem haha.

I have a 2008 sterling bullet 4500. Pretty much a ram 4500 .. my transfer case just blew up on me but everything inside seems to be intact.. the transfer case is a special one NVG273 mopar part # 52123156aa. My yolk is a bolt on and the ram 3500-5550 is a slide on . I’m wondering if I could get a used ram transfer case and just change my yolks on the truck or convert them
