So if you drive around with your tow mirrors up, do you automatically need to wear a pair of white Oakley's??? :party018::blues:

Whatever you feel gives you a better view of the road, I figger it don't matter what other people think, more of a personal opinion thing. That said, mine is that I like the wide mirror view, and think they look better down. But each to their own

Up/out, just to stay away from the haters ;)

No serious it doesn't matter your opinion, I'd roll them up because I like them and to get people heated when I tow my ghost trailer. :spank:

Lol.....

This thread needs to go away before it gets heated...... There are a lot of opinions on tow mirrors.......

My wife and I both agree the trucks look better with them up, and visibility is better as well, spot mirror is in a better more usable spot..... However to each their own. Haters gonna hate, but I don't care, it's my truck, and I can see, and I like how it looks, so really want wtf is the big deal....

Oh and my oakley's are the original minute frame in black, or the tactical standard issue oakleys......

Yup, :agree2: I don't care what others think. If anything, they're jealous. Mods, lock this thread before it becomes #1 on the forum. :rof

What do you mean by tow mirrors up or down?

Surely you mean in or out.

One sig said "Running tow mirrors up without a trailer behind is like wearing a condom with no woman around".

I'd just like to find that As s in a black 2nd gen that rides around with his mirrors up and hits the smoke switch when passing bicycles. Rumor has it that a couple people would like to discuss it with him. FWIW, he drives on Halls Hill & Richland in Mid TN. Anyone here know him?

Well, I saw this one yesterday by "BEERPLAY" - PUTTING AIR BAGS ON IS LIKE WEARING A CONDOM ON PROM NIGHT BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY

Now replace "AIR BAGS ON" with "TOW MIRRORS UP" :D

Why? I prefer my mirrors being lower. Besides, the factory style tow mirrors look goofy when up because of the cutout. I almost always keep mine out (not in) so I can see past my dually fenders. Not being able to see well past the dually fenders is a big reason I got larger mirrors. I did add some convex mirrors which helps a lot.

On the 3rd gens i think they look good up. On our 2nd gens I prefer them down. But it's your truck do what you want

#23 ·
But on a lighter side, I think you should gain a 50hp gain with them up!

tow mirrors up, helps rear visability especially with the dually.

Lets just hope this thread doesn't get outta hand like the ones in the past... :S:

Just an easy way to separate the wheat from the chaff... :hehe:

^^^^ I used to work with a guy who actually liked his that way.. said he could see better. :S:

I worked with a guy like that to. But the drivers side was down, because he was to lazy to go flip the passenger side as well. I'd only ha e them up with a dually, or a truck with fender flares. Otherwise it looks out a place imo. But as said, it's all personal preference
