I like to do this stuff myself which drastically cuts cost and assures the right parts go in the right places. If you don't have time to DIY, I'd go to a different dealership that used Mopar parts on maintenance work.

 

I do most of it myself also. I did the oil change and fuel filters last night by myself. I have had a lot of these trucks. I usually do the 1st oil change at dealer just to let them get the gorilla tightened filter off. My mistake for trusting they would use something of quality.

 

Mopar filter has an anti-drain ball check valve in the filter.....don't know if the performax has one. Make sure you demand Mopar if you bring it in somewhere.

 

Dealers are always going to keep their costs to a minimum. Id stick to the self oil changes.
