Which window would you prefer. Or which do you think looks better?
The 4-piece sliding or solid fixed window(not divided).

dont you mean solid VS. pop can disposal door? haha. i love my sliding rear window, my bed however, does not. It is also a nice way to get into your truck if needed. My rear window is just one panel that slides

There is a guy driving around a Mega cab here (Camarillo, Ca) with one of those rear sliders where the whole back window slides all the way down like in the Toyota Tundras. It is pretty sweet. I saw him cruising around in his Mega cab with all the windows down two sunroofs open and the back panel open!

I have a slider, but I never use it. The bigger reason I got it was because I thought the tinted glass would be nice (and it is, but not really at night). At that time, the one piece windows were not tinted. I don't think they are now either, unless you get the defroster on the newer trucks.

I put in an order for a Laramie. The rear tinted windo with no slider and defrost was cheaper then the slider, but the slider is powered. I choose the slider! In a quad cab, I can see a power slider being nice.

I've had the slider in both my 05, and 08. Manual in the 05 and electric in the 08. I like it for the ventilation when the weather gets nice. The elcetric is nice because you don't have to climb over the back seat to open it.

Digging up an old thread here...

I have a slider, however, I'm wanting to convert to a solid. Any idea's where to find a solid? I've googled with sporadic results but I may be using the wrong search terms? The one place I've not looked is LMC.

Any one looking to swap let me know. I have a 99 2500

I have had 2 with sliders and one without. the first never got opened because I couldn't reach it and with stacks it was REALLY loud in the cab!. the second did not and I didn't miss it. my current truck has one of the electric sliders and if it wasn't for the fact that I can open this one any time by hitting a switch on the dash, this one wouldn't be opened either. I don't have stacks on this one yet but if it is as loud as my first then the window won't be getting opened anymore.

Power slider is the best. A one piece power slider with defrost would be bomb. :drool2:
