Hey guys,

I have just bought a 2006 ram 2500. I am new to the diesel world and I was hoping you guys could help me with some upgrades. So what I want to do eventually is drop another turbo in but I know there are other upgrades that I need to do first.
Here is what I currently have in the truck:
4 inch straight exhaust
Billit tourque converter and just had tranny rebuilt
Also aperantly there is a upgraded transmission pan (guy at the shop told me that)

So my question is what upgrades should I start to add so I can eventually drop another turbo in without destroying her.

Thanks!

go ahead and do a lift pump (air dog or fass), and make sure how built your tranny is first. also a set a gauges. and it mainly depends after that which tunes or tuner and stock fuel limitations will allow you to make.. there's also a lot of other post's on here saying the same thing as me give or take a few different things but that's the basics. you can use the search bar also to find whatever exact answers your looking for

EFI Live, then study and learn. There are so many ways to add power that you need goals first and a plan to get there second! I hope your pockets are deep though diesel power might be the most expensive and addicting drug ever devised to keep the poor guy down. Take your time and read all you can here. There are lots of people here who have been there done that and don't mind sharing. As your knowledge grows your questions will get better and you will get way better answers, from people who know. If I said buy turbo X based off what I do with my truck it might be totally wrong for what you do with yours. If you have read every turbo post that's on here you will start to see a trend of what sounds like it will work for you. That goes for any parts. Be the guy that took good advise and bought the correct parts the first time not the guy that bought 4 or more to land on the right part. Don't look down on those guys as many of them were the pioneers of our hobby or just flat out had the cash to do it and wanted to see which is best. And welcome to Cummins forum.

head studs are a good ideal when you want to add power. do you have a goal of what you want? what do you use the truck for? this will help guys guide you in the right direction
