Hi there, Im new to the forum but been tinkering with cars/trucks all my life.
Here is a little intro...

So I been out the racing scene for a while... I just havent been motivated ... I been concentrating on my business and my 5 & 2 yr old boys ,future soccer stars :)
Anyways I decided I needed a new work truck but I just didnt like anything out there. I wanted a Raptor but I also wanted a Cummins diesel and the Mega Cab was perfect for those long road trips.
So I just said heck with it, Ill just build it.
I started with a 2012 Ram 3500 single rear wheel, Mega Cab, Cummins which was rolled over for $20k (only had 12k miles)
I then started doing all kinds of stuff with no real direction other than I wanted something unique.
In the end... I got a Mega Cab Ram 3500 w/ Cummins with the off road look of a raptor.
The truck is still not finished and the front bumper is made of scrap I had laying around, I will be making a new tube front & rear bumper this month.
Please excuse my grammar if its not up to par as I am quickly writing this.
Ill let the pictures do the talking...........

I skip a bunch of stuff like the suspension and other stuff
The front suspension is radius arm set up which pushes the front end 3" to clear the 40" tires
We installed rear airbags and will be installing the front airbag with twin shocks up front, just been lazy.
It also has AMP power steps and a custom panaromic sunroof
I just took this pics right now... Ill have better pics once its done .. shooting for End of March

Thanks for the compliments, I been working on it for about 10 months --on and off when work is slow (these pics are only a tiny bit of what went into it)

Im really happy on the way it turned out but I still have some more mods to do which I will post on here :party018:

Sorry guys, I been busy with work so I havent had much time to post
BUt here is goes...

Probably around $600 with all the lights and aluminum skid included

Awesome job. I know you posted a ton of pics, but how about a few more "beauty shots" or "poser shots" of the finished product?
Soon... :blues:

Very nice work man! :drool2:

The only thing I think you can do to improve on the overall look and performance would be to add 3" THUREN coils with some 3.5" KING shocks and THUREN Alien arms. Then it would be a Raptor slayer! :party018:

Where did you get the bed rail system from?
Unfortunately it would never compete with a Raptor due to its size and weight. Same goes for a Raptor, it would never compete with a true off road rig since its just a normal full weight truck with some mediocore suspension mods.
Truck was made for one reason... to be a bad work truck :truck:

That looks nice. Good job. Did you drop a larger tank in it?
Nope, thought about it but there are too many gas stations to justify the cost of this mod.

Very cool! Where did you get the bed sides and fenders? There is nothing about this truck that I DON'T like. Awesome job
Tie downs are from ...
TowRax - Floor Accessories & Tie Downs
FiberwerX Off Road Fiberglass ... you have to ask for them as they are not listed on the web (only the trophy ones)

Awesome job. Just can't wrap my mind around the $20k for the wrecked truck though. That seems high. I guess that's the going rate?
$7k engine
$3k transmission
$2k rear end
$3k interior
$2k electronics
$1k wheels/tires/brakes
So thats about $18k on just some parts so I think I made a good deal

Used 2012 Loaded Laramie MegaCab Diesel... $55-60k (12 months ago, when purchased)
Now take in account interest rates($6000), depreciation($15,000), state taxes ($5000 instead of $1500)

Dont get me wrong, I would have love to have bought this truck new and then did all the mods I did but it would have cost me about $40k more atleast.

Sorry if my grammar is all f*** up, I dont have time to proof read.
Hope I have time tommorow to post the new interior mods

Laters
