how to lower my dually??

i want to lower the rear of my dually to make it look level ... get rid of the gap between the tires..... but i still want to be able to pull a goosneck trailer when needed

You could remove the rear spacer blocks between the springs and axle they are 4 to 5 inches, assuming you have a 4x4. If that is to much then you could get a set of spacer blocks from a wrecker's and have them milled down to the thickness you want. If you have access to a band saw and angle grinder you could likely do it yourself or get it close so it would'nt take a machine shop long to finish off and get true and parallel. You would likely need to shorten and cut a few more threads on the U-bolts.

If you don't need the carrying cap. you remove a few leafs out of the spring pack.

Can o.done pit a link up I can find the parts at....I looked at eBay and found drop hangers but it said for 1500 and 2500 trucks..... how much drop will I need to get level??

2002 ram 3500 quad cab dualy. 2wd stock tires ...weld in gooseneck hitch...5 speed. ..I am wanting to level the rear to be even with the front ...

i looked under my truck and there is a pretty big spacer block between the rear end and the leaf springs....can i take them out.... or what should i do.. i read that link and didnt realy help that good

As mentioned a few times before you CAN take the blocks out

Look into drop shackles, Also try using the search feature here as there are quite a few threads on this forum about lowering trucks with links and pictures :thumbsup:

mna i tryed searching before i started this..... and i looked at the blocks.... are you refering to the two blocks about 3-4" that are right on the axles... what should i do put the leafs on the axle?
