Headlights? Anyone have these?

I hit a deer tonight on the way home from work. ******* broke my passenger side headlight mount (housing is fine, the nipple into the fender broke off). I've been wanting to upgrade headlights anyways, so now is my chance. My grille came in today, so I can make a day out of it.

Does anyone have these headlights?:

Also, being projector headlights...do you have to run HID's? These say they are plug & play, but mention nothing regarding HID's.

I want the black lights. I love the CCFL/halo look. But I don't want HID's, as I tow a lot on 2-lane roads at night and they just blind other drivers. I was flashed over 10 times in one night while towing my Jeep with my last HID's...Took them off and sold them the next day...

I had the same brand on my 03... they were Ebay headlights.

Poor quality and the halos started getting really dim. On mine its said that I couldn't use HIDs with them. The projectors didn't have good light output either.

I know I wont buy them ever again.

No after market head light that comes with a projector in it is good. If you want quality after market you buy quality projectors and retro fit the projector into it.

hmm. interesting. I have the same lights.. kinda.. :2002-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 2500 3500 Combo Headlight, Tail Light & 3rd Brake Light | eBay

and I am very impressed with them. they are pretty bright, although they could point further up though. I seem to override them a lot doing highway speeds and almost need to keep driving with the high beams on.

also, the LED tail lights... wow those are impressive. driving down a gravel road they will make signs flash when youre 1km past them... then press the brake and it gets 5x brighter!! even idiling at night with the lights on they light up a 20 foot radius of red light behind the truck. theyre awesome.

rangel can you explain that more? I would like brighter headlights.. but not sure if it gets much brighter than mine, especially without blinding others and getting me flashed. I have already had a cop give me hell about my headlights being so far off the ground and already level with others drivers eyes.. if I had bright ones I imagine it would be pretty bad for other drivers.

Search YouTube for morimoto mini H1. I did the retro fit a set of aftermarket lenses I just havent put em on yet. There's a lot of info over on HID planet. But I'm not supposed to say that.

Thanks for the info y'all. Looks like I'll stay away from those projectors...I work nights, and about 70% of my driving is at night on back roads. Light output is very important.

How about the TYC brand that RockAuto sells? They are the same as stockers but black...

Does anyone make something that converts 3rd gen to a 4 light system?

I've tried the Bi-xenon with the electro-magnet shift on a 2003 neon and there was no way to get the the aiming correct for either beam. I don't care too much about the high beams just throw as much light forward as possible (hi beams-fog lights every possible photon!) but the low beams need to have proper aiming so on one gets blinded. It seems like the only proper way to do that is with a 4 light system.

just a fun fact you can't run hid's with halo lights cause the bulb tends to melt the "halo" part of the light.. thats what i've been told anyway. they look cool tho.

Hmmm...I thought those lights were specifically designed for HID's.

So what's the difference between that and the new Lexus/BMW/Mercedes/etc...that come with HID's and halo's?

Cheap-o's yes, but I thought you also meant the high-dollar ones also. Looks like I'll be ordering the black TYC lights later this week...

Or, maybe not. How about these? Specifically "Anzo" and "IPCW" brand. Getting up there in price, so hopefully better quality? Either way, I will not be running HID's. I've never seen projectors with standard bulbs in them...how do they do?

And is there any difference between the '06 headlights and the '07-'08's? Some of the descriptions only list '07 and '08 as compatible...
