It depends on the brand and material. No matter what, get aluminum enclosed if you get enclosed. Buying used, the trailer has already depreciated for the most part, and you will still sell it later with minimal loss. If you get a goosenck, make sure its a good brand, with good components...like texas brag. An enclosed like featherlight, or wells cargo holds value well. a good used cargo or goosensck trailer both sell for around $8000 here. Bigger Aluminum featherlights go for around $15,000-$20,000.
