I have a 6.7 cummins, stock turbo, stock injectors, and stock pumps, with all the deletes and block offs, 6 speed manual with a South Bend double disc clutch, right now I'm running an edge juice with attitude but am wanting to go to efi live tuning. I'm thinking about going with a 100 to 150 horsepower tune, what I'm wondering is can I still use the edge monitor for gauges and the turbo cool down timer? would any wires or part of the edge system need to be unplugged when I put efi live on it? also how big of a tune would you reccommend my truck without tearing it up in a hurry? Thank you for help and info

The Juice still manipulates timing, even on stock setting. Sell the Juice/Attitude, buy an Insight CTS monitor, and never have to worry.

my edge has the option to choose stock timing or juice timing, so if I set it to stock timing would it still be manipulating the efi live? also do you know if the insight monitor has the turbo cool timer in it? thanks

Yes, it will over write what EFI has the ECM programmed to do. Sell the edge setup you have now and get the Insight. That's what I run with my EFI. All you do is unplug the insight from the OBDII port, plug in the EFI for the ECM reprogram (tune). When it's done, unplug it and plug the insight back in. You can still monitor the vitals.

I am running EFI Live by Dave Matthews and have the Edge Race Juice just as gauges. I do have a little injector rattle which I thought was just the program Dave sent me. If you can live without the turbo timer then just disconnect the Edge wiring harness from the injector harness and you should be good without any added timing from the Edge (which I'm gonna have to look into further to verify).

Thanks for all the info guys, so with the egr and cooler deleted and blocked off can the efi live tune be set so that I wont get any trouble codes? also I'm kind of on a budget right now and I've been told it would be way cheaper to just take it to someone that would only charge me to flash it instead of buying tuning tool, is better to spend the money and buy the flashscan or whatever it is or is taking it to someone the better way to go?

I would agree with getting your own handheld as well. That way if there is a tweak that needs to be made it is just an email away instead of a drive back and forth or something like that. Autocal is your tune loader, scan tool, code reader/clearer and data logger.

I use an Auto Cal from Dave Matthews and although I haven't got any programming changes done it is simple and easy to set up through email. Get your autocal, pull your ECM program, email to Dave. Dave works some magic and emails you back. Load new program to autocal then load new program to ECM and TA DA! More power and deletes are done!.

i've got Daves efi tuning also with the old edge juice as gauges i just unplugged the injector harness and the map sensor from the edge no issues.
