Can you post a picture please, I thought about that area but you would not see the blue led blinking (maybe this is not an issue).

Why blue led? Get the same switch thats been used for years

 

He has the switch that's been used for years. It has a blue led on the back of the circuit board for diagnostic purposes.

To the OP unless you mount the switch backwards you won't be able to see the LED. The knob has an indication line that points to numbers on the sticker provided. Use that

 

My knob is labeled 1 thru 5.....i know what lvl it is based on the number the dial is pointed to

 

I too would love to see pics of where y'all have these mounted. Mine should be here Tuesday.

Mine should be here on Tuesday. Granted there is a thread in the 3rd Gen forum, but I'd like to see some pics in the 4th Gen area. I mean our interior looks different after all. I've got some ideas in mind, but would like to see what others are doing as well.

 

hopefully will be installing mine on tuesday (if I get a day off, 2 weeks straight so far) I will post up a picture of where I put mine. Thinking of making something to fit where the stock brake controller would go.

I ended up putting mine here:

 

Put mine to the left of thesteering wheel. Pulled the bottom piece off and cut the plastic directly underneath where the switch is

 

I think a better question is where did you relocate obd port to after cts plugs in.....stick out like 6" lol

 

It should stick out no further than before.

Well switch showed up while I'm gone in the field working and wife was gone. Neighbors dog tore up the box wife said switch looks good but cable is tore up. Gonna see what another cable costs. FML

You could do it like mine, turn your cigarette lighter into your switch

 

My truck didn't come with a cigarette lighter.
