Stock is a mode or level and would be number1 then you have 2,3,4,5. You have to purchase level 6 or the hot unlock.

 

Even if he unlocked it it won't work for your truck you have to bye it

have a hard time believing this....

mine was unlocked its a 4 ditget code that you enter in the monitor, it is not linked or locked to an ecm,

also installed an edge juice hot unlocked on an 05 \(owner bought it second hand from a previous owner who paid for the unlock)

unlock worked on the 3rd gen with no issues

 

Okay...mixed feedback. Like I said before it only goes up to Level 4. Stock then Level 1 mileage Level 2 Towing Level 3 Race Level 4 extreme. Thats it. The PO said it was HOT unlocked. It's an older chip..looks like I will be phoning Edge tomorrow.

if the previous owner says he/she paid for hot unlock it will still be there.

 

^^This is exactly correct. Also, you can go into the settings and adjust the low boost response from 1-5 on each power level. The low boost is basically how hard it fuels how fast, hp gain on each main level will be the same, its just how it gets there. For example, level HOT with low boost response on 1 (aka 6X1) will get you to your max hp gain but will smoke less take a little longer to get there and spool the turbo. HOT with low boost on 5 (6X5) will get you the same peak hp gain but black out the car behind you and spool your turbo quicker.
