I have a 2015 tradesman with 1000 miles on it assuming this may have something to do with it but yesterday I pulled the center part of the dash (area with climate controls and all that on it) because I am going to be adding some lights to the truck and was looking at clearance behind the dash on where I could mount the switches so when I pulled it I unplugged all the harnesses going to the knobs and buttons then put it right back on with everything plugged back up. today got in my truck and when I started it up the check engine light and traction light stayed on turned the truck off and back on a few times, drove it around a few miles, unhooked the battery for an hour pulled dash back apart to make sure everything was hooked back up and lights are still on truck is running like normal.

Those plugs are easy to not get plugged back in all the way. I would pull the center dash back off and double check the plugs.

If the CEL and TC lights stay lit then get the codes checked or take it to the dealer.

How could they stay lit if OP stated they went off? He also said he already double checked checked the plugs...maybe reading the post would help.

OP, if you disconnected the battery and reset the system then I would think you are good to go. The electrical systems on these trucks are a little finicky, did you unhook the batteries before messing with the plugs? If not then that's probably what set it off.

no I didn't unhook the battery before I unplugged the harnesses from the back of the panel and the reason im assuming it has something to do with that is when I unhooked one of them don't remember the exact one but I heard a brief noise under in the engine compartment like when something is cycling on or off. Ive read a few posts on here where people have had the traction light come on and stay on after certain things and finding the problem and fixing it but still having to take it to the dealer to get it reflashed to clear the light hoping I don't have to pay however much money just for them to clear a dash light out. Im assuming that it wouldn't have anything to do with other things that I have done to the truck but may be worth mentioning perhaps someone had the same problem after doing this but about a month ago I put a leveling kit and wheels and tires on and also I installed a ftermarket bumper that had places for fog lights so I installed fog lights which the truck did not come with and I wired it up like in the image but instead of a switch I just came straight off the hot wire from the back of the headlight for the low beams to the relay im guessing neither of these have to do with the problem since I did them a while ago and im just having the problem.

Had some success I disconnected the battery for longer this time and when I started the truck the check engine light went off but the tc light I still on but my tpms light is now on to and telling me to fill my rear tires to 80 I have 35's on it now and usually only run 65 and the tpms has never come on with that psi but because of the cold weather they are down to 60 so will the tpms detecting low pressure cause the tc to activate also? Not used to all this computer stuff on trucks I guess ive only had fords 03 and older before this one.
