does any body else besides amsoil make a cetane booster?

been reading a bunch on running jp-8 in diesel and is sounds like the only downside to it is the delayed ignition due to lower cetane rating

I use diesel kleen by Power Service. Works well, can pick up a 32 oz bottle that treats 100gal for about 7-8 bones at any parts house..

Stanadyne performance plus is suppose to boost cetane. I used to use it in my 03 Ford and it seemed to work well. It is also suppose to help keep the injectors clean. A buddy of mine said when he took his old powerstroke in for his 100,000 mi service the mechanic said his injectors were spotless. He said he ran the stanadyne every other tank full. I was thinking about using it in my 09 after I get rid of my DPF.

a company called lubra lab makes this stuff called ultra deisel expensive tho lubricates pumps and gives your truck the stuff needed that was removed in low sulphur deisel.raises ceitine by three points and cuts my regen in half. i get it from a private sales guy so i dont know how to find it otherwise. love it but costs me 35 bucks a liter:spank: that hurts tho

Opti-Lube XDP is supposed to be, hands down, the best on the market.

:confused013: One is endorsed by a bike shop (even though it is a diesel additive). Read the bios of the management team and you see lots about "selling & business building" experience, but squat on much else.

The other is mixed at a ratio of 1:3000 ??
I'm leary of anything with "green" in the name. This could be a good product, but often the only green that is produced is what comes into these companies bank accounts.

Anyway, regardless of what I think, did anyone see anything about increasing the cetane with these products? Wasn't that the purpose of this thread?

I vote twice for the XDP it really works and a $6.95 bottle treats 500 gallons. Gave some to my son, he says his 5.9 no longer will roll coal. That means his fuel is burning and not being wasted.
