5 min job. 1 bolt and off it comes after you remove the belt. The last one i put on was a cheapo gates and the belt wouldnt run true, it forced it off the A/C compressor by 1 groove. I dont guess they are all like that but that just seems to be my luck. Genuine cummins! Thats all.

Also the typ Cummins Squalk upon shut down is gone ( even with my old belt ) . Kinda happy about that .
Although my A/C pully clutch thing still sqeakes like a mutha brotha ........ oh well another project fo another day !
Thanks all for the tips and help.

If I use the less expensive Gate's belt mine will always squeak. I use the Gates Green stripe HD belt. My a/c pull is outa line too with the other pully's. No way to move it. I have to watch it or it will work it's way 1 groove off and tear the belt up.

Ive used both dayco and gates.... dayco is junk, has a plastic idler wheel that looks like its glued together in 2 or 3 different pieces, it is almost square. the gates is heavy duty and has a steel idler wheel that wont wear out, I have seen posts where some trucks do require the tensioner needs to be shimmed.
dayco belt will squeek on shut down, the good year gater back belt will not make any noise.
now that I think about it, I believe the pics below was an OEM and a goodyear tensioner
can you spot the oem ?
