im sick and tired of trying to tighten all the junky fittings on the steel tranny cooler lines that i cant seem to stop leaking. has anyone just completly pulled all the steel lines and replaced with some good hose?

i dont have any autos, but a company i do work for has a chevy that had leaky cooler lines, i replaced 'em with good hose 2 years ago no problems since.
Mine was leaking up where the soft line and hard line come together, at the fitting. I pulled the crappy fitting off and pulled the line off the cooler, it was only about a 2 foot section of hose. Replaced it with some Goodyear hose that I got at the local hardware store. It was hard to slide over the flange on the steel line but i got it and double clamped it on. Doesnt leak a drop now!
i put an after market tranny cooler with an electric fan and ran new lines from the transmit ion to the cooler and had napa make the line with the proper fittings
