Looking to replace the factory 235/80's with some new rubber. I would like to go a bit wider (one inch per tire) 265/70 but not sure if they will rub when i am hauling :confused013:. Anybody have any experience being loaded with this size specifically?

thanks

I ran 265's on my 06 dually when I first got it (put 285's on when they wore out) and put about 50,000miles on them and never had an issue. There is plenty of clearance between them. As far as weight, I towed a 18000lb triaxle gooseneck flat deck and a 14000lb fifth wheel travel trailer thousands of miles without incident or tire failure.

Glad I could help.

Being as your post is dealing with tires you probably would get more responses in the Tire and Wheel forum, or in the Dually and C/C section. There are actually quite a few posts in each one asking/answering the same question.

:agree2:

I swapped out all my fluids in the axles, diff (new Mag Hy-Tec cover) and finally got the Odometer over 30k and now my mileage is finally climbing back to where my fully deleted LBZ DMax was so I am pretty happy.

Even my 3000lb AMG costs me more in fuel than this truck :hehe:

Odd you guys had room i went to 265s and they about rubbed without the trailer on. I run a 1.5inch spacer now between them. I weigh 12,000 without the trailer tho so maybe thats why they squished more.
