In for pics. I'm still debating...one day. Maybe when my factory units go, think they are close to $400 each, and thats almost half a conversion

I'm waiting for tax return season !!!.... Group buy:gh::gh:

Congrats on you Dynatrac install. Sorry to hear about your shipping experience. I have nothing but praise for their customer support both in shipping and helping me with install questions.
two trips to Montana and lots of 4x4 use while hunting and no negatives to report.

Anyone have the Ballistic Fab kit? Price is pretty good on it also. I don't need 35 spline axles or Chromo as mine is just my DD. I have my buggy for offroading and will spend the money on axles for it.

Glad you like the hub kit!

As far as the shipping goes you should have contacted the shippers local package center. The supplier really has no say in how the shipper actually gets the package delivered. They can make a request but who knows how many people that request has to go through to get to the right person.

I'm going to do it as soon as i get enough money. I need to replace my u joints and I'm sure ill ruin the hubs trying to get them off. Might as well get one of these kits

Star chief,
If you can find one of these near you
Amazon.com: OTC 6290 Front Hub Puller for 4WD Vehicles: Home Improvement

They are a dream, I had my hub off in less than 20min, and no damage. I am not saying buy it from amazon just see if you can find this one.

Replacing the Ujoint was one reason I did the work. I had one go bad after 50k miles which is total BS. The factory oem crap is junk.

The Dynatrac kit includes a new axle spindle for the hub to turn on. You have to get new U-joints which you should do anyway if you are replacing the hub. I see by the Balistic photo they dont include that or bearings. The Dynatrac includes the bearings as well as the axle spindle. Unless I read the add wrong you get just the hub. After you add all the other parts you might as well go with a Dynatrac kit or Spyntec kit.

Whats the point of the "kit" if it's not a kit. After you click on the 4 "Accessories", that is if you want the HD 35 spline stubs and the premium warm hubs, the kit price jumps considerably.
For most do it your self types trying to assemble all the accessories would be a PITA!
I can't believe they consider bearings as an extra.

Larger bearing separation is 20% stronger than the competitions 'free-spin' kit
So how far do these things stick out?

yea I dont know why they dont just sell the entire kit. The only parts I had to provide were new U-joints and grease. I also had to purchase a socket with the tabs to install the nut holding on the outer bearing but you can usually get those at any auto parts store. The Dynatrac instructions tell you what socket to get. The Dynatrac stick out the least of the 3 kits mentioned. If you dont care I would go with the Spyntec or EMS kits. They are cheaper

I have Spyn Tec on my Dodge, and I like them very much. I had a choice on how far I wanted the hub to stick out. Well I came to the reality, the longer the spindle. The wider the hub, which puts the wheel bearing further apart. That means more leverage for the bearings to have with larger size tires, and really has a lot more leverage on OEM size tires. The further apart the inner and outer bearings are, the more leverage they have with stability. Those hub packs that Dodge puts on the front ends, STINK! They don't hold up as intended, they fail way too often and cost way too much to replace. This is my personal opinion. Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas

My feelings exactly about the factory hubs. I had a great Christmas Burp!!!

I can honestly say, I get 1 mile to the gallon more. If you use your Dodge for a living, that's a big savings and they will pay for them selves in no time. Even if you only gain 1/2 MPG it's a savings big time with the cost of fuel today. In the warmer weather, you will see a big difference in fuel mileage. Good luck to you, I know you will be happy with a set of lock out hubs. All the front differentrial does is steer the truck where you want to go, unless you lock the hubs in.
