25 mpg goal

I drive like a old man 98% of the time and shift at 1600-1800 rpm all the time. I get 19-20mpg but I wana bump it up to above 25mpg.
So here's what I got.
02 quad cab. 6 speed 3.55 gears
Are topper all terrain tires

Here's what's going on the truck in next couple weeks.
35 Bfg km2s 16x9 rims
2.5 inch leveling kit
5 inch straight pipe exhaust
Fass 150 with big line kit
S&b air intake
Edge juice cts.

Now ik the lift and tires don't help but those are non negotiable. What else can I do to reach my goal of 25 mpg???

Those tires will make it impossible to get 25 mpg. See what your highest mpg's are after you get everything put on and go from there.

Electric fans, free wheeling hubs, most likely 4.10's to get your gear ratio back closer to stock, less aggressive tires, remove excess weight...

I don't think you'll be able to hit your goal with a leveling kit and aggressive 35's. Its counter productive. I do know of a member on here who gets about 24, but he has a 2wd rclb on stock size tires and travels mostly highway.

You will want a skinny tire for mileage. Also the lower to the ground the better.

Tires and lift are going to kill your mpg. You are spinning a lot more weight around.

Driving 55 with skinny tires and timing box should get you close if you drive right. Going from 20 mpg to 25 is equal to a %25 increase in economy. only way I see doing that is to drive slower and ditch the big tires.

I have gotten 23 on one of my trucks - that was no easy feat!

Like the other said - get rid of the lifts and the big tires. Going higher up in the air will increase the amount of drag the truck sees and decrease your mileage. Wider tires will increase the friction between the road and the tires - cause lower mpg's.

I recommend:
Free wheeling hubs
Keep your 3.55's
All new U-joints (greaseable)
All new wheel bearings
All new lubricants
All new ring & pinion bearings
Smarty w/ timing (or other comparable tuning box)
BHAF
RV275's - 50-75 horse

That along with cruise control will get you slightly higher mileage, but having 4wd you will never be able to get as much as you want.

If your serious about mileage skip the tires like stated skip the edge get a ts MVP instead. I gained a lot of mileage when I switched. I can get 25 all day long on the highway. Most do not believe this but my check book does and I like it

Yea ik I shouldn't get the tires and leveling kit but that's just something I have to have so I guess my 25 mpg goal will never come true. I also just ordered lock out hubs and I have all synthetic fluids and all greasable joints sorry forgot to mention that. I heard a 75 hp injector can yield better mileage if u keep ur foot out of it is this true and will a turbo increas it as well?

Also, as mentioned by smokin dodge, get a BHAF. When I put mine on I got a legit hand-calculated 1mpg increase that I tested by my trip from Charlotte to Dayton, OH (I make the trip a few times a year). Make sure you get the 2790 filter because it is the bigger one. When driving from Charlotte to Dayton in my 2wd I get 21 mpg but that is driving at an average speed of about 65-70 the whole way and going up and down the mountains. If I were to slow down and had level ground to drive on then I think I would have no problem hitting 25mpg but...I just can't bring myself to drive that slow.

Highway rib tires instead of all terrain

65mph on my 2wd and slip streaming I got 22.1 and 22.0 going to/from Riverside CA to Salt Lake City UT. Nearly 1400 miles round trip.
Adrenaline, 6spd, 3.55, 2wd, 110 HP injectors, 62mm turbo.

Snow mpg max could have added some extra. Real hard to get much better than 20mpg and drive faster than 70mph.

I keep reading good things about the ts MVP for fuel mileage. I don't know what the difference in the EZ is other than shift on the fly (which is nice) but both are supposed to yield pure fuel economy and a little extra power
