My friend has a stk. truck and hes wanting to do some upgrades and was wondering if the truck has one that year? If the truck was close I would look under to see but from what I can remember last time I looked it had a big bees nest "possibly cat" and then the huge muffler! Wanting to go with 5" turbo back straight pipe but of course if it has PF this will affect the programmer we choose!

No just a cat and muffler. It is a factory 4" exhaust great flow for most setups if straight piped or high performance muffler. DPF is only on 2007.5+ 6.7L trucks.

As was said ^^^ just the CAT. I got a ME pipe, left the CAT - no real backup pressure to the CAT, and a BIG fine from the EPA if you get cuaght without it. I got my 2006 when I did because of the DPF threat for the 2007's and the end of the 5.9's.

Ok good we are going with a MBRP 5" Turbo back straight pipe AFE intake and Predator tuner! He thinks the truck is powerful now :rof Wait till I get this stuff on it. Not really keen on the Dodges since here where I am "North AL" everyone has Duramax's. But I will have a Cummins for my next truck. How much louder will the truck be with 5" straight pipe? I have only heard one other cummins with large exhaust and it had a 6" I think Bully Dog possibly and it was outrageous! Thanks for the help guys!

Well, I have a Magnaflow 5" turbo back and it is loud. Sounds awesome when I kick er down but when towing there is some drone.......if you know what I mean by that. Hard to explain....ha ha. Take it from me......without engine mods (other than an intake), the 4" will do you great plus it is a lot cheaper. Good luck
