Purchased the vehicle 3/10/2021 @158k
I Understood there were a few issues with the truck but they are slowly getting fixed.

-8AN Fittings, Hoses, NPT and ORB; bypassing heat exchanger for the 48RE

Parts Still need but can install at anytime (Hopefully all done by end of summer)

Custom Heater Hoses (Completely Remove the Heat Exchanger) -

What are the power goals? Might be able to save some money for other things by moving down to 425s

Honestly hit the 1k Daily Driver. For those that are going to tell me build the transmission I am it has some mild upgrades for current settings but I already know playing with big hp needs big transmission.

Update for the day. Got my Mishimoto Radiator, Hoses, T-Stat. Had to fill the radiator up with water to check for leaks since someone wanted to step on the box THANKS UPS. Lucky no leaks nothing broke no fins bent other than the normal amount of bent fins while building the radiator. Intercooler and Tubes are on a 4-12 week backorder but Friday will be a fun day of draining and flushing the old system before I replace it. I'll be posting some pictures this week of progress.

Why are you wasting money on an intercooler?

625’s may not be needed with a 467, but if you can swing them, do. Nothing kills the mood quicker than a white plume after you lift the head...

You don’t need custom heater hoses. Literally remove the exchanger and connect the two hose ends. Couldn’t be simpler. I had a custom hose made with probably a foot or so of hose and fittings crimped on either end. Cake. The rest are factory parts.

Intercooler because the current one has been stepped on and hisses. Custom Heater hose was from leftovers from trans cooler lines. Might as well since all I need are the AN to Hose fittings. Side note mishi sent me a new radiator even those I didn't ask for it and everything else is on 4-12week backorder so now I am at a delay. Guess now I can just get the Fleece Bypass and get cooling system done in a single shot. I am debating on going to a bigger single battery to make room for twins or just stick with a single. Still on the rocker.

So I have been kind of split on this decision. I want to install a Sinister Coolant Filter but debating on is it going to be worth it. Reason being even with flushing the system I know I am not going to get majority of the Klean that was used to fix radiator leaks when previous owner cracked the radiator. I do have the mishimoto radiator and well with the cost of it and all the crap in the system what real harm can happen? other than less money in my wallet. Looking for a little insight. I know just like the bypasses for oil are nice that constantly filter out junk in oil shouldn't coolant be just as nice especially with what could be inside the passages.

Well this thread kind of die still awaiting on Mishimoto Intercooler still on backorder week #12 but this week I am going to get **** rolling. So the only thing I am awaiting on is my fleece coolant bypass than it's going to be radiator replace, coolant bypass, transcooler and lines, and replacing everything in the A/C accept the evap core is getting flushed. Can't stand waiting on this last part with 100+ weather and no A/C. Another note truck is also getting Nitro 4.56 front and rear with a nitro LSD rear diff. Finally take some strain off the transmission running these 3.73 I'll be getting some before and after pictures. Later I will be deleting the spare tire bracket and getting Mishimoto Aux 17"x7.5"x2.5" same side cooler with fan. Side no VA finally stopped screwing me over finally getting my backpay so things should be speeding up soon as the supply chain un F***s itself.

You selling the ‘stepped on’ Mishimoto radiator? Is it the stock replacement or their larger one?

#9 ·
Well I didn't get any pictures but everything is in. I was frustrate with the rear freezer plug and 105 outside. I have to get a new suction and discharge line and have an shop make me a custom extension for the discharge side. Shock towers are huge for the 4.0 and there isn't a lot of room. Still have the stock intercooler pipes they are somewhere between warehouse and mine so who knows when that is coming in. Had to move the hood latch up a 1/4 inch due to the hood latch hitting the top of the intercooler. Worst part is after putting in a new a/c condenser I get a perfect rock fly threw the grill and smack it.

Another note anyone installing fleece studs with stock turbo and thuren 4.0 shock towers it's going to be a b****. I had to make a custom boost check for the turbo to get the wastegate arm back on. Yup only way to get a stock turbo back in is to take it apart mount the exhaust and than insert the turbo just 1/2" more room could do its all but there isn't. Somewhere in freight land I have flo-pro 5" turbo back coming. So hopefully I won't be as pissed and remember to take pictures.

Temps are 207* I run a 205* t stat hottest is got was 215* heat cycling from 60-80mph until I blew the feed intercooler boot. Never experienced a blown boot and boy does the truck fall flat on its face. Lucky I was at my exit limped home ad fixed the issue. Lastly, all I have to say about fleece coolant bypass. Never again with the trans or engine in the vehicle. Literally took me all day.

Other stuff when the heck did dodge have a plastic driver intercooler pipe. Honestly who does that mine was all out of round hopefully the new ones come soon.

Modified these to work with my bypass shocks :D carli really doesn't need all that extra material on there.

Well finally everything made it except the G&R Billet Rocker. Had to order some fitting for the D&J Billet cover going from -16 ORB to -12 60* make it easier to route and if I ever need a catch can just change our the hose and done. Also got everything from fleece 6.7 Injection pump line, crossover tube nuts, and block off plate. Have new injector harness since the old one is leaking. So just need to wait tell next friday to start putting everything in change the tune file and cross fingers.

#17 ·
Well we finally got a update since I did fix my shocks and airbags.

Fluidampr w/ power up kit and barring plate
PRW Rocker Assemblies (though I would give them a try)
D&J Push Rods, Springs, and Ti Retainers

So the real only thing I will have left to do is Steed Gen 3 Manifold and 63.5/67 stock appearing turbo. I eventually will go compounds down the road but that will be after I get done with my FTO training.

#19 ·
Fluidampr not installed yet delayed due to shipping, but the last one I installed I notice a lot quieter idles and felt smoother power. As for turbo I am just going with Stealth 64/67 building into a compound sxe S476.

Update 01/23/2024

PRW Rockers came in they are nice pieces looks like the bronze bushings pressed into the bodies but also they have machined some of the body for I am guessing weight distribution I will give some feedback once everything is installed because I hit some black ice and got dragged into the snow drift and go figure my luck I hit the one and only freaking tree.

Hit the only tree in the snow drift from hitting black ice. 20mph hasn't hurt my pride so much.

Yea got the estimate today they said they will have it completed by the end of tomorrow. So once it's done they are going to be ordering parts. Just told them don't add mirrors or door harness since I already order the 4th gen mirrors so 2 birds one stone LOL and the connector for the mirror just needs the plastic piece replaced on the harness got on ebay just for the connector itself.

#23 ·
They’re going to have the truck repaired that soon or the estimate will be done then?

#26 ·
Good luck on finding rear megacab doors. Only a 3 year run so can’t even get rust repair panels for them.
Last time I looked, mopar had the shells but wanted $ 2500 per door

They actually found everything goes in on the 26th just depends on what USAA says total damage was ~9700 so ~9400 out of insurance pockets. Even if they total loss it I am buying it back and with the difference going to be fixed the cab/doors before touching the bedside.

Update: 02/02/2024

Well got the PRW rockers, push rods, valve lash and a hot retorque on the head plus fixed my billet rocker bridge because of a cross threaded bolt. They just charged me shipping for the bridge which was nice. Side note installing the Fluidampnr nephew slipped and took a watch on the radiator soooooo lucky that's getting fixed with warranty. So shes sitting for now and I didn't get any video footage for the PRW and Balancer combo like I wanted to helps not forgetting your phone. So I will not know how the new rockers and balancer are going to sound and feel tell I get the radiator fixed.

Update: 02/16/2024

Every is back together need to get some more coolant it's only half gallon low so no big deal. AC compressor fixed no more squeaky clutch bearing. Mechman 370amp should be here in 2 weeks already got everything to change out the power and grounds for it. Will be going in the body shop 02/19/2024 so I'll be in a rental for a while. I got court March got to love ex's. So far than needs to get completed before summer:

Suspension: Thuren Drop Bracket, Thuren Track Bar ( I have carli's it always loosens up and I have rebuilt is 2 times each year tired of it thuren always treated me well ), Crown Break Lines + Rear break line drop

Engine: Steed Speed Exhaust Manifold and Turbo still debating 2g swap or go 3g and build into compounds later

Exterior: Line-x White Hood, Roof, Tailgate and Rocker Panels, Bush Fender Flairs

Interior: Full Interior strip and sound treatment. Finish custom box, swap out subs and amplifiers, 4th Gen jump seat top half, New front seat booty foam, and Stock looking seat covers (Love to hair my dog)

Pretty much all that needs to get done besides getting a new tool box.

Update: 02/21/2024

Got a call from the body shop yesterday about the rear driver shock bracket. Went to look at it today the welds are starting to break so since they have the bed off they are going to just charge my insurance for welding the new Carli rear shock braces in. might as well since beds off and get a little more strength in mounting. Mechman alternator shipped will be here on Friday won't get installed until I get it back from the shop. So the suspension is 97% complete just 3 things to get and I will never have to do anything with it for a very long time.

Update: 02/28/2024

Carli rear shock brackets came in and got dropped off at the body shop. Trucks looking good they already have both doors painted and just waiting to transfer everything once the cab corner is done. Got to say if anyone goes 6" Thuren or Carli I really would suggest getting the Carli rear shock mounts. They are beefy and most defiantly should not fail if welded correctly. Mechman also came in dropped that off at my nephews where I do most my work and order some bolts from mechmaster carr. Got to love upgrading everything to stainless (FU SALT). Also got new clock spring in since mine squeaking and annoying me to hell, new front seat cushions coming in so no more of booty riding the rails.
