Do you want gauges with it......do you want high idle feature.....do you want it to be usb updatable......how much hp are you looking for.....still have the stock lift pump?.....do you want simplicity?
i want gauges thats why i was kinda leaning toward getting the juice w/ attitude. i dunno what the high idle feature is really for ??? im lookin for some more "giddup" not really sure of how much power in numbers i want. yeah everything is stock, im getting a 4" straight pipe soon and BHAF soon as well, maybe that helps...
The first upgrade before a programmer will be a fuel pump or a least upgraded lift pump. A edge juice will suck your fuel supply dry with your stock lift pump.....that's if it is working right now. I learned the hard way and it cost me an injection pump.
Juice with attitude is a very good box. The quadzilla adrenaline would be in the same class with a claim of little more hp and torque and also lets you update via usb with pretty much any program you want. Aparrantly a new monitor is in the works for the quad.
High idle feature is on the quad which a guy like me would use in a cold climate to try and keep the engine warm and periods of long idles.
Otherwise both boxes are pretty much the same. If your not going to tinker with programs, then I would probably go with the edge....nice unit. Myself, I'm going to wait for the new Quad.
prolley need to look into getting a lift pump. Alot of guys run an airdog or fass. The edge jwa adds 120 hp and it has all the guages you need. The smarty adds 65 hp but it can read codes, recalibrate for tire size, and has high idle enabled( doubt you would need that in FL) but that 65 hp is all bottom end. Another thing you could do is get one now and stack the other on later.
Get a Airdog, Raptor, FASS, or any other good lift pump first.
Then a Quadzilla Adrenaline with Pulse. It's got all the gauges and lots of power.
Also start thinking about trans upgrades.
:ditto: get the lift pump first and then buy an quadzilla adrenaline with the pulse. Love mine lots of power and all the gauges and features you want.
Air Dog or Raptor lift pump first, then, if you want the gauges in the monitor thing, get a J/A or Quad Adrenaline, otherwise, get you a few gauges on a pod and a TST PM3 or a Edged drag comp...
do and edge juice with attitude so you have you gauges, and stack a smarty s-03 programmer ontop of it and you will blow some serious smoke, and will gain some serious power.
Good lift pump FIRST, with a Fuel Pressure gauge. Love my TST. Made by a retired Cummins Engineer. I had some strange transmission issues with the smarty on my STOCK 120k Auto, esp when messing with torque management. :confused013:
i never played with the torque management, and when the two chips were stacked it made some weird noises every now and then but i wasnt to worried about it .
