What size drop ball mount do you run?

I tow mostly an older uhaul car dolly and light duty 5x8 trailer. I purchased an adjustable ball mount from wal fart but it's just cheesy looking and is only rated for 5k gtw. It's possibly the biggest waste of $40 but I was in a pinch. According to the box a 7.75" drop is achieved but for my utility trailer I still feel it's not enough. I also have a 9ton Hudson deck over I pull with a pintle. It's just right and I can't complain except my tail gate hits the top of the tongue.

But my utility trailer gets broken out when I have something I don't feel like throwing something into the back of this skyscraper. Like a motorcycle or something heavy like a motor. My question to y'all is, what are y'all running for a drop hitch? I would like a 9" but the closest I can get is 10". My budget isn't allowing for a $300 mount. Not worried about my trailer being too heavy for my drop cause when I tow big stuff I break out the Hudson.

I use this rig for most trailers.
6" Rapid Hitch
rated for 1500# tongue and 10k trailer.

Are you lifted? A 7.75" drop seems like a lot for a stock truck. I run the same ^^.

I use a fixed Curt 6" drop rated for 15k. Makes my car hauler and cargo trailer very close to level, but I am a 2wd.

I have the B&W 9" drop tow and stow. Has the 1-7/8" @ 3500lbs, 2" @ 7500 lbs, and 2-5/16" @ 10000lbs.

I have the same hitch. The only thing I wish it had is a higher tongue weight capacity (1000lbs)

Not lifted, but I have a low deck trailer for my Goldwing. Most often a 3 or 4 will get it done.

Ive got a stock truck. My utility trailer is designed for a car to pull and the only way I think I can fix its problems is to flip the axle I think. My car dolly on the other hand MUST be level or fairly low at the tongue or loading a lower car is near impossible. I have survived with the 7.75" drop but it needs to come down just another inch to be perfect. Its almost like the hitch sits too high up on the truck. Idk but its been a pain to find the right drop for my equipment.

If you need that much drop go with this: 10" Rapid Hitch

They are pricey but look on ebay, I got m 6" for $149.

I use a curt with a 6" drop. It's rated at 2,550 tongue weight and 17k towing weight

I may just have to save my cash and get one of these. Itll get rid of all my mounts I have and be heavy duty and adjustable.

I got my Trimax 8" drop adjustable on eBay for a much better price than anywhere else. 8" is perfect for my truck.

I got a 3500 reverse leveled on 33's. Using a 5" drop Reese titan Reese Titan Ball Mount for 2-1/2" Receivers, 3-1/2" Rise or 5" Drop, 18,000 lbs Reese Ball Mounts RP45323.
Went with this one so I didn't have to use the 2 1/2" to 2" reducing sleeve.
