ok well just got off the horn with the dealership. i need 6 injectors, a fuel line and a filter. i asked about the oil and aparently i was either wrong and it wasnt oil but fuel or the oil came outta the fuel line???????? who knows its under warranty thank god i opted for the 100k warranty when i got it. they never said anything about having it chipped up i did take the program out but still have my aftermarket air filter and exhaust on it, i was worried they would hassle me about it.... so anyway the injectors will be in tomorrow and the fuel line is on back order...the lady said i should have it back by the end of the week. my dad says its from the additive i put in it, i dont really think that would be what did it.....i did put in my first tank of ulsd 2 weeks ago but thats probly not it either i dont know... anyway thought id let yall know whats going on with it:popcorn:

whiterocket, I am very happy to here that its all paid for. But what happened.

The last time I heard of fuel in the oil every one was concerned about cylinder wash. When you get it back keep an I out for the color of the smoke.
I don't think you drove it long enough for any damage. But just keep it in mind.

don believe me im happy as a pig in poop that its nothing more than a inconvience i was brainstorming all day on what to tellem if they started busting my chops about a programmer or something.

jaymo i really dont know what happened, im far from a mechanic really and i didnt get to talk to the one that is working on it. this is pretty much how it went in a nutshell. got stuck behind soem traffic in the fast lane they moved outta the way i started to accelerate (i didnt mash it just, accelerated enough to get me back up to 75-80 from around 65-70) then mid pass on the car i was waiting on poof major white smoke and i could tell it was missing....kinda hard to explain noise by typing but it was somewhat similar to a jake brake sound. i pulled over got out checked the engine hoping it was a tube or soemthing that just came loose nope nothing i didnt see any liquid or anything at that point said a few choice words and got back in the truck thats when i called tony...startd it back up and went about half mile to a emergency turn around and headed back south for soem reason i thought there was a truck stop not to far from me...more on that in a sec....went about 2 miles maybe and it died period i ended up coasting up to the 174 mile marker. i probly shouldnt have drove it after pulling over the first time but was trying to limp back to this non existent truck stop lol it ended up being about 35 miles from where i was at i musta been half asleep.

so if the smoke is white when i get it back it aint rite, ill look for that thanks jay...cylinder wash ive heard the term a number of times but never really got the definition what is it when ya burn up your rings? that should be covered by warranty as well rite? and wouldnt they be able to tell that its still screwed up?

well if you need new injector and there was fuel in the oil chances are the injectors were cracked. letting the fuel into the top of the head. i have heard of pressure boxes causeing this. glad to hear there fixing it on them. and if there was fuel in the oil make sure they change the filter and oil.

ive heard of the pressure boxes doing that too chances are thats what happened but i didnt think that the power pup added that much pressure. im thinkin of sellin the power pup anyway pisses me off i cant seem to get the advertised 230 added hp that the box has on it anyway...maybe thats a good thing lol it has decent power but im kinda bored with it and looking for a new setup god knows theres a 100 of em out there...the smarty sounds awesome but for that much money id liek to have adjustment on the fly

Glad to hear everythings alright! I'm just getting back up to speed from being gone all weekend! what dealership did ya take it to? if ya don't mind..... my being from Taylorville I may know where it's at!

Thanks for chimen in Ramicator. I knew there were other reasons for this I didn't want to scare you whiterocket. I was really tired when i posted it last night.

All six injectors are bad? Wow... Dirty fuel is probably the number one reason for bad injectors. Couple that with pressure spikes (some boxes are worse than others) and you've got cracked injectors. And that's why I've got 4 fuel filters.

headhunter ther dealership is green dodge, i dotn know how long it has been since youve been here but they used to be next to s&k pontiac gmc and called soemthing else i cant remember, now they are way out on the west end on wabash. green is doing pretty good at buying up all teh dealerships around here it seems like......i guess i could be getting crappy fuel soemtimes the plac ei get it at i think has been ther for at least 20-30 years....well so far the most exspensive part of the wholedeal was the towingbill approx.400 bones ya i know cheap compared to what it could be if things werent under warranty. FYI the towing assistance pakage they have for us expires at 36,000 the number still works and they will get ya help if you need it but you have to pay for it, so we just had a local guy tow it for us. all in all things are going ok so far just one of lifes lil speed bumps. thanks for yalls concern and information. oh ya outta the cobalt and into a obnoxiously loud dually flatbed chevy lol our new work truck comes complete with a outside airvent rite in the floor board never seen and option like that before:lol3:
