Hello everyone,

Does anyone know of a 4" or 5" dual stack turbo back kit? I've been searching for one everywhere but all I can find is for 02' and under.

Thanks

I know that MBRP and Grand Rock both offer turbo back stack kits. But most turbo back kits are going to be 4" from turbo to the t pipe. Which is also the stock diameter of your 05 exhaust. So really no need to buy it unless wanting to get rid of muffler and cat without cutting.

Two places that came to mind first

Chrome Pickup Smoke Stack Kits Chevy Ford Dodge Individual Universal Turbo Back
Pypes Performance Exhaust - Truck Products

Now as far as 5" from turbo back, None that I have seen. But t pipe kits are available with 5" inlets, so it would take a 5" turbo back kit paired with 5" t pipe kit to do 5" turbo back stacks.

I'm not running anything crazy enough to need 5"....not yet anyway. And the issue I'm having is that there is 94-02 and 03-04 turbo back kits from mbrp but none for 05 and up. Could this be due to emission regulations preventing them from sale of turboback kits? a solution might be to buy the cat delete pipe that they advertise is for testing and racing only. would this work?

your stock exhaust is already 4in so if you get one of the stack kits all you have to do is run the flex pipe into your stock exhaust.

we just put a 7in stack kit on my buddies truck, its not really year specific you dont just buy it and put it on there was a lot of measuring and cutting invovled and we used the left over stock exhaust to make a cat delete pipe.

he has a grand rock kit, and they are all universal, so you measure and look and adjust stuff, measure some more cut some stuff, Its not a simple hang it and go kinda of thing. Itll fit after you put the time into fitting it to your bed and truck.

its not hard, just takes a bit to get it all perfect

there was only mild swearing involved

we used the stock down pipe, basically we put the stack hole in the bed and fiigured out where we need to to hook up to the stock exhaust at and chopped off the rest. the stack kit will go straight down through the bed and have a 90 degree elbow, then you hook up a flex pipe that comes in the kit to the stock exhaust. the pain was getting the 2 stacks to be perfectly symmetrical and as close to the bed rail as possible.

I suppose there is no real reason to not use the stock down pipe. so you just chopped it all off before the cat and connected it? I didn't even consider aligning the stacks would be a pain.

the stock downpipe flows fine, its not like a dmax where its all smashed down. He has a quad cab so whe had to use a litte bit of straight pipe to make up the difference from where the cat was to the flex pipe but your truck is so short that i might just be cut the cat and hook up the flex pipe lol.

I'll find out soon enough, I ordered an mbrp dual exhaust for like 400. I imagine the worst case is that there is not enough pipe to make up the gap from the muffler to the beginning of the cat. Thanks for your input, really appreciate it.
