Tire Rotation Opinion/Preference

I had a discussion with a guy from work and we were on the subject of tire rotation. I'm curious, do you guys when rotating your tires go front to back or Chris-cross them.

Drivers side front to passenger rear etc etc. this obviously is on non directional tires. Have any of you had adverse results from the way you do them?

My opinion, if my back tires are feathered I'll cross them (single rear wheel of course) and it flattens them back out. I've always had good luck doing it this way and seem to get longer life out of the tire. At work we go front to back, if they chop they get worse, fast but he's passionate that's the ONLY way to do it.

I follow the owner's manual recommendation...

With non-directional tires, the rears go directly to the front without crossing and the fronts get crossed and go to the rear.

Dually's are side to side only... inside rears staying on the inside, etc.

Same way each time.

Best regards,

Front to back, along with rebalance and check alignment every 5,000 miles or less. Like clockwork.

I buy em all at Discount Tire, they rotate/rebalance for free (w lifetime balance) and Goodyear to check alignment (3 yr unlimited alignment) across the street from them. Both 3 miles from the house.
