Thermal Bypass Leak

I have a slight leak where the transmission cooler line connects to the quick connect on the thermal bypass. I am trying to troubleshoot the issues and come up with a way to fix it but don’t really understand how the quick connector actually seal. Does the tip of the hard line seal or is it the v shaped flare? The larger v flare on the line is slightly bent or deformed, this likely occurred when I installed the thermal bypass. Below is a pic (found online) to highlight the hard line flares and for reference (one of the flares in this photo also looks less than perfect) at the bottom is a pic of the actual leak. Leak is not coming from the threads that connect the quick connect to the thermal bypass.the leak is a drop or two every couple of stays but it’s enough to notice on the driveway.

When I did mine, there should have been new Viton O-ring with the kit. They go on quick connect lines first then snap in.

Maybe one got damaged.

@WV_Ram thanks for the suggestion.

Fixed the leak. I ordered new oring and clips, when I was replacing them I noticed the fittings (brass looking ones) didn’t fit as tight as the oem ones on the transmission line. So took the fitting off the original bypass and put them on the mishimoto bypass along with new orings and clips. The new orings alone may have fixed the leak too but did t want to chance it.
