Ok,
First what I have now, I have a 2011 3500 6spd, crew long bed single wheel. I have a minimax installed as well as full exhaust to dual 6" stacks. I have a SB 3600 dd clutch, egr is turned off but still there. 3.42 gears and 35"tires I have a air dog 150 waiting to install.

I hardly ever tow, it's my daily driver and weekend warrior. I sled pull and like to drag race also dyno. My last dyno was 445 hp and 976 tq.

My goal is 750+ hp single turbo.

What is my best option?
Of course I would like a budget friendly as I can be. However I understand the costs.

I guess what I'm really looking for is proven combinations that put me in this power level. And yes I have searched and read a million threads. I know a few things but would like to hear real experiences.

Time frame for this build would be by Christmas.

Thanks in advance.
Chad

You should for the most part be okay witht he stock cp3. Idk how aggressive of a tune your looking for but i know the tune i have on right now i can still pull 24-25k psi rail pressure. And that tune was written with the stock cp3 in mind. The pressure doesnt come up as fast as I'd like it to but itll do for now. Id imagine the bag of parts would put it right where it should be on an all around tune. Idk about a race tune though.

Well started on my truck today.
After getting it tore down found the problem.

Have the new gasket installed and head back on with new ARP studs all torqued.
While the head was out did the 100hp nozzles
Tomorrow putting rest if the valve train back together and then the 2nd gen install. If everything goes well I'll be driving it out of the garage tomorrow evening.

The head was checked, was not decked. everything checked out square and true.

heres a few more pics.

those are just a few.

I do have a question, what gets done with the coolant line from block to turbo?

I know where the 2 coolant lines plug but am unsure what gets done with this one.

thanks

I'm doing all the work myself with the help of my uncle. I took the head to a small pops shop called Joe's Garage, if your in the area let me know I would be be glad to help you out. Its a small place but they do great work and work with you around timing.

Glad you got it finished. Obviously you figured out the coolant plugs on the head and the side of the block. I want to see your hot side intercooler pipe and how it's attached to the turbo. I was supposed to get the welded v band with 90 but didn't

So here's a small update, I have about 2,000 miles on my truck since the swap and still loving it.

I'm still saving some $$$$ for dual cp3 setup and custom tuning. Hopefully it happens sooner then later :)

Question I do have. What hp/tq do you think I'll be at with what I have and dual pumps and tuning?

Will I be close to my original goal of 750?
If not other then bigger nozzles what would get me there?
Mp8? Atomizer?
Just looking towards the future.
Honestly I'll be happy breaking 700 however when does it ever stop lol

Thanks
Chad

I usually hit a few of the local pulls. They always put me in the open class even when all I had was deletes. I still usually was top 5 or better. Maybe this year will be different top 3 would be nice.

I want to hit a few dynos as well maybe a drag lol.

Just do it for fun.

How about you?

I raced a few times last year at unmidia I plan on doing more this year hopefully I can run xdp's events also.I was going to pull at harford last year but there was so many trucks and my class was last.I have a two year old so that just didn't happen. Then I was on vacation for Wyoming so maybe this year I will pull it at least once.

Yeah I didn't pull at either this past yr had to work each day they were scheduled. My cousin made almost all the pulls. He has a 700 hp 3rd gen.

Not yet but from what I have seen from 4th gens on dynos I am sure it will be way low.My trap times put me in the 750-780 range with my old turbo should have more in it for this summer.I am shooting for 11s and I am push it till that happens or my rods are on the track this year.

Nice, I don't think I'll be that fast. Long throw g56 lol

I would def give it a shot. Clutch should hold a few 3rd or 4th gear launches.

Awesome.. I'd love to know the results! I'm wanting to dyno mine as well but not having any luck finding one close to me.

So to bring this back to life. I never was able to make it to the dyno.
However with the mods I had I have been very happy with the trucks performance for the last 16,000 plus miles.
I however couldn't pass up the ATS sale so I ordered a dual Cp3 setup. Now just waiting on delivery and once that is completed I'll be looking for MCC tuning.

Making progress a little at a time.
