The dealer can adjust it for you, if there nice they might not even charge.

 

Dealer can only go to the equivalent of 285 (32") size.

I have the Hypertech speedometer tuner. Works fine and within 1mph to my GPS.

 

I wouldnt even worry about it. Mine is off about 5.

 

Also you can have the dealer change the TPMS settings lower. Mine are down to 30psi for light load and 40 for heavy load.

 

Already talked to the dealer, cant adjust for a 35

 

Yes I have one. I set it with a hand hled GPS. Diameter is not true, 285/70/17 came out to be 31.75" when I programmed it to make it make GPS and it was tested against a speed limit sign with radar display and was dead on.

 

Dealer told me they can get it pretty close. Said they have set tire sizes, but can go up incrementally.

 

Our local dealer here said the older models can be done but the newer one's can only go up to 285,s.

 

Got the Hypertech programmer today and it worked like a charm. Was able to get it dead on with my GPS.

 

How much was the speedo programmer? I have the same issue.my dealer said they can only calibrate up 2 tire sizes....I had 225s and went to 285s.mine is off about 4-5 mph.wonder how it affects my actual mpg having larger tires?thanks

You can find them on ebay any where from 150 and up. I got mine through 4 wheel parts as they got it shipped to me the next day.

 

285/75/18 is a 35. Dealer did mine free

 

I believe, I purchased mine on Amazon for $180..

 

Speedo Recal

Any one use the Hypertech 752503 Speedometer/Odometer Recalibration Programmer?

With the bigger tires my speed is off about 4 miles an hour. Not looking to get a full blown tuner just some thing to recalibrate the speed.

Any other info would be great, going to call 4 wheel Parts in the morning to see what they offer also.

I know there are lots of lifted big rubber trucks on here so any info would be great.

I went from stock tires (Michelin, 265/70/R17's) to the Toyo M/T Open Country 285/75/R17's. My dealer did the speedo recal for me for free and my speedo is dead on now...
