I borrowed the AutoEnginuity tool from a diesel tuner buddy of mine. Truck is an 17 2500 Cummins. It’s been fully unlocked, tuned with EFILive and fully deleted. Trying to adjust tire size and pressure thresholds. Adjusted the tire size in the radio freq hub, BCM, and ABS modules in that order per instructions. I now have a mess. No speedometer, ABS lights, service brake system, service trailer brake system, service electronic throttle system, no park sense, odometer not functioning. Tranny doesn’t know when to shift because of no speed input. My buddy is as new to AE software as I am and is not much help. He’s reaching out to some other tuners in his network but no help yet. I’m in a bind, this is my only vehicle. Can you offer any thoughts??

Don't know about autoenginuity but when using AlfaOBD you need to go in and clear the codes in the engine module and the body control modules or you will get a situation like you have now.

I have done a “clear all DTC” several times. I am going to attempt to reset the ABS module now. I feel all of the issues are related to that. Amazing that trying to set the new tire size did this. I didn’t even make it to the pressures or any of the fun stuff. I want to do the fog-light/highs enable too. But scared to now.

Don’t have a fix for you, although the old turn it off then back on trick (reset factory values in this case) typically fixes this type of crap.

The ABS and it’s associated sensors play a bigger part than most people realize. I believe you’re on the right path to fixing.

I have AlfaOBD so I can’t help much with the software you’re using but I will say the stuff you’re getting ready to modify in the BCM (lights, etc) is pretty hard to screw up. It’s just a value change.

There’s an autoenginuity thread on this sub forum, might try PMing some of the posters in that one to see if they have any helpful direction.

Good luck!

I made a similar mistake with an Autel on my truck. There are a couple of ways to do it. Select the tire size or change with the pinion ratios. My exact tire wasn’t listed so I calculated the correction factor myself and changed the pinion ratio so that I could get it more exact than picking a tire. I did this right before a trip. Saw the problem about 15 miles into a 1500 mile trip. Abs lights came on. No cruise control. Put the scanner on and the front wheels were reading 30% slower rear wheels. Ok. Stopped to fix it several times. No luck. Ended up stopping at a dealership and getting them to reset everything back to the defaults. They charged me $65 Could have been much worse. Maybe I learned my lesson. 🙂

You can only change the max setting from my experience. You have to input it in kph as well. 165.xxx kph is the max allowable setting.

I had similar issues after adjusting tire size with AlphaOBD. I adjusted the tire size thru the BCM though in optional sizes. Had to calculate the circumference in MM to input it. I had to go into the ABS module and due a full reset then clear all the codes in ABS, Engine and BCM. Once I did that all was fine.
