Anyone else notice this with their truck? It's beginning to drive me absolutely nuts but something in the dash is making a creaking noise and I can't figure out what it is.

If you have uconnect you might want to pull the trim around the radio and check the module. Mine was 3M taped to the back side of the lower dash and was just loose enough to squeak/rattle. I just doubled taped it and haven't any problem since. Just a thought....

No Uconnect. Once my free one year subscription is over on my satellite radio I am gonna get a new head unit with bluetooth and DVD though, but that's not til September. Hopefully I can figure out what that squeaking is before then.

I had a creaking in my dash after about 8-10k miles, and it slowly got worse and worse to the point where just the motor vibration at real low rpms would cause it, I finally pulled the dash apart around the radio bezel, (I have bucket seats with center console ) so part of that had to come apart too, but like I said I ended up stripping all of the front bezel off around the radio, a/c controls etc. and then I turned the truck on to get it to vibrate and just had to listen real closely, it ended up being one of the screws on a bracket that held either the radio, or one of the small cross bars it was in a little bit of a bind, so I just loosend the screw and let everything relax wherever it settled and then tighened everything back up and it has been good ever since.

However, now I have a creaking/rattling somewhere in the upright piece between the driver side front and rear door. Only does it over bumps but it is begining to get annoying.

i found the squeek. it sounds like it is comming from behind the radio. The noise is the center of the plastic cowling rubbing the center of the windshield! After tightening the dash 3 times to find out that it was not the problem!

Mine squeaks rattles on the passenger side dash speaker grille..havent fixed yet ...

To fix it put the center of the cowling up and slide something rubber in there. It squeaks where the cowling touches the windshield in the center!:party018:

Mine had a similiar creaking noise and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Spent a couple hours one day investigating and found it to be the 4x4 shifter boot. Simply moved shifter back and fourth a few times and the boot stopped squeking. Good luck to all.
