Having the same issue, and I update the unit to the most recent software on their site. Not sure what the deal is.

when I add the cts to my truck I didn't have to do anything just plug it in and install the pyro and it already sense that my smarty was installed hope this helps

There is a option on the cts that has to be turned on.I forget what its called.After you do that you should not have any trouble adjusting pod

 

It has nothing to do with the software thats on either the smarty or the cts

 

Just go into options and there should be an option to turn on Smarty control. This is assuming you used Fusion to update your Insite to the latest version.

just updated, reinstalled, no option shows up to turn Smarty control on.

I think some auto updates won't always take you to the most current. check for updates after installing updates.

 

Talked with EDGE customer service today. Ran through the list of things I did including things with the Smarty. The only thing they could suggest is to try and update the Smarty to the most current software if you have not already. Other then that they were stumped on further options to get it to appear. I asked about software setting on MyStyle but I guess there is not a spot in the software to fire up POD in there. So I will try one more time before the weekend to figure it out and let you know what I find.

Talked to edge today. Plan to check update for insight then try again.
Got to wait to get a window pc to do it has I have a Mac.

If that don't work ill be calling edge back to see what to try next.

And no there is no option for smarty live popping up on the insight under opt or accessory opt.

Depending on what version your Mac is, you can use a program called "boot camp" to boot windows on you Mac and run windows software and programs.

Yeah I have been looking into windows emulators for it just haven't got one yet.

I figured that with as popular that apple as gottin that most companies would have support.

Well checked for update on the insight with fusion it up to date. Still not picking up the smarty pod on it. So I guess next step is to try updating the smarty software then try again. Biggest reason for buying the insight was this feature. It's a little disappointing that its not working properly.

any update? I was getting ready to buy a Edge Cts insight just so I could control my smarty.

 

Mopars, did you end up buying the cts ? I am also considering it for the smarty option but don't want to buy it if it aint gonna work.

 

I got the same problem updated the cts never tried the smarty yet has anyone else try that with results.

I have the most recent software on my CTS, at least I would think, I bought it a couple off the ago. Smarty POD works fine with it as of now.

 

I purchased my CTS about a month ago, it already had the latest updates in it but it controls the Smarty just fine.

It did take me a minute to find the place to turn on the Smarty control in the menu its near the bottom on mine. If all your updates are done it should be showing up.

 

My still doesn't show up to allow control. That with update that edge sent me after calling them. So only other thing for me to try would be a smarty update to make sure im running a compatible software which again ill have to get a my dad laptop to do. Just hasn't been a priority for me lately why i haven't updated it.

When i do ill post results.

Anyone get it to work yet don't really wana call edge up again and sit on the phone forever. I updated the edge and didnt do anything but I lose my memory for some reason idk y. I lost all my maintenance items but know it in my head anyways

Old thread... But, anyone find anything about this? I just purchased the insight CTS and updated latest software, as well as latest software on the smarty and there is no POD function anywhere.

 

Best bet is to contact Edge and have them walk through it with you if it's not working. Mine worked correctly from the first day.

Seems to be hit and miss with some people.
