Haven't seen one, so I thought I would start this for us guys! Those of you that run the smarty. Post what levels you have ran, where you got your best numbers at, what yields the best fuel mileage! Now I know all trucks are not the same, but those wanting to try different set-ups don't have to ramble with it all day! Can look here and get advice, and see if that certain tune runs good on their trucks! And we all know the tnt pops on our years, so what tune did you run to stop this from happening e.t.c!

I will start with the tune I am running now!

Tnt

SW7, tq 3, timing 3, rail pressure 2!

It gives me smooth power, no pop and awesome fuel mileage!

In the next month I'll buy a hours time on a dyno and figure out the best settings for my truck. With just a smarty it shouldn't take that long.

I run REVO SW9 with all default, and tried TNT but like you said it pops , i left it on 9 and just did POD back to 65% to get rid of the pop but the truck seems to run slower , so I am changin back to revo.. I see that you guys are messing with TQ mang, and Timing an RP.. Will this help out at all over and above what default is?

For the best power. TNT-R, SW9, Speed Limiter 130mph, Shift Defuel Off, RPM Limit Off, TQ 3, TM 3, WG Off, RP Default. ( + Pressure box for added pressure)

TM 3 eliminated the infamous pop.

TM 3 eliminated the infamous pop

do you think that if I put Tm 3 on my tnt tune it may help????

Its the noise 03 and early 04 trucks make at high rpms runing smarty tnt and revo too I belive...correct me if I'm wrong. Has there been a fix for this yet? It doesn't sound healthy.

On a side note is rail pressure set at 2 safe for stock injectors?

On a side note is rail pressure set at 2 safe for stock injectors? Do you have to reload the catcher software to change your settings? I'm still trying to get this thing mastered

There's also an idle issue on our trucks with torque management set at 3 they high idle when ever they feel like it even when its 90 degrees outside.

I get this pop just with aftermarket injectors.
Thought it was just my truck.
will look into #3 fix.

you you recommend head studs for any settings over SW#4?

CONFIRMED. The Use of Custom Injector Timing setting on #3, get's rid of the "poping / Bark noise.

So sweet thought it was just my truck. Vehicle responds better and it appears, that I am getting better MPG. only time will tell.
Hot Damn!

CaTCHER can be on any SW#
But the Injector Timming SHould be on 3.

I apologize. Should have made it more clear. I'll edit the post.

Seems a lot of people like to run SW 7, you can mess with the other settings to see what you like. Personally I run SW 8, Trq 1, Tmg 0. But I also have a TST so its usually set at 3/0 for highway. It seems the higher the Torque Management is set the more smoke you will have. I always run at 100%, but I am considering experimenting turning it down when towing to see if my EGT's will drop some. Towing a new trailer now with an ULW of 11,000lbs, so I tried the settings at SW 2, Trq.1 and TST on 1/0, powerpuc lowest setting. Although the EGT's were under control, if I was to get my foot into it I could easily raise them past 1250°. So hopefully dropping the % may help.

I run sw9, tm 4, tq 3, rp stock, shift defuel stock, stacked with DR P. When I try TM 3 I get a loud knocking sound from the left side of the engine.. I assume this is the rail pop? It goes away if I set tm to 4. For those of you running the shift defuel off does this help your 1/4 mile times? I have always been worried this would hurt my trans.. Anyone had any issues?
