My truck is a 2005 with the g56 standard transmission. about a month ago the problem started, when i was rolling up to a stop sign, pushed the clutch in, and tried to shift into 2nd it would grind every once and a while then go in (at a low speed, wasn't trying to pull it in too early) this started happening more and more. now when im sitting still and try to shift into 2nd it grinds badddd. it will go into 3rd fine and if i keep clutch in will smoothly go back into 2nd but if i put it into 2nd then back out and let the clutch out, push the clutch back in it starts the problem over again. any ideas?

How about shifting to reverse or low under same contitions???
You may have a weak hydraulic clutch. Pump serveral times and see if shifting improves.
You may have a damage/weak/worn clutch. Does truck take off smoothly with no jerking?

just put a new clutch in about a month ago. Southbend duel disk.
reverse and low do not grind but it is very tough to get into them and has been that was since i got the truck. i have heard that the duel disks cause the issue if being hard to get into low and reverse. i will try pumping a few times and see if that changes anything. thanks for the input!!!
