Hey guys, I bought a new hyrdoboost unit yesterday due to mine leaking between the booster and the master cylinder. The old one has a star looking piece with the rod that goes between the booster and the master cylinder. The new doesn't have that, but I can't seem to see a way to remove the rod and star piece to put onto the new one. I tried pulling on the rod, and it seems to have a spring on the other end of it... I don't know what to do. Help please:confused013:

BTW, I did measure the rod that goes to the brake pedal and they are the exact same length on the old versus the new.

It comes out just have to get the star deal out I tried pulling on the rod, and it seems to have a spring on the other end of it... I don't know what to do. Help please:confused013:

I just did mine not a bad job couple hours if that.

I just carefully moved the master cylinder out of the way and pulled the old one out then slide the new one in.

I did have to tweak on the mounting bracket end to get the studs straight so they lined up just right.

I just got that thing out. It looked like a think chunk of metal until I got a bright light down in there. I just pried it out with some pliers and a screwdriver. Thanks for the help man.
