My friend just bought a 2017 5500 Cab and Chassis. He needs more power to tow a heavy trailer. Will a tuner do the job or does he need to delete the truck and get a tuner? Any recommendations?

He can have a non-derated, non-c&c truck file flashed via efi live. Just contact any tuner and they should be able to help.

My 5500 with the deck and picker is never less than 16500lbs felt like a race car when I deleted it. I used RaceMe Ultra and straight piped which is quieter than you would think. I used the 30hp tune with stock spool and rail pressure. It is a 2015 with the 4:88's
Thanks for the input! I called Anarchy Diesel and they said Efi live doesn't have a tune for a 2017 cab and chassis. They also said I would need to get a Bully dog to unlock the computer first. I called Bully dog and they said they don't have anything for a 2017 cab and chassis either. So my friend will have to wait until they have a tune before going any further.
