FML Mini Maxx Issues

Hi, I had a mini maxx delete tuner on my last truck, when I traded it in I left the deletes on it and turned the setting to no power and kept my Mini Maxx. I was hoping I could get it unlocked like they use too, but all epa made that impossible and they had to make it a Street tuner so no delete options. That was fine because I had a buddy with a Mini Maxx and a 5.9L and we traded units so I could do my deletes, I got home and formatted the card and did full card download installed it did firmware update and now the Mini Maxx wants a code to do deletes the same as the one I traded. I thought we could update these without worrying about losing dpf delete function. I am so mad dont know what to do now PS both unit s were unlocked from vins

Did you AND HE reset both to factory and unlock the vins before you swapped? Both had to be reset to factory -- you can't just go down to stock power. BOTH of you have to remove the flash by returning to stock (not POWER but STOCK TUNE)....

I was hoping I could get it unlocked like they use too, but all epa made that impossible and they had to make it a Street tuner so no delete functions. I paid to have it unlocked and made a deal to trade tuners with my buddy who has 5.9L and dont need the delete options so we traded today and formatted sd card and downloaded full card updated firmware and now it F@$king locked too. I am so mad and dont know what to do now. F@#K the epa and all this Bulls$&t, that is all
I feel so sorry for you.... That's what you get for being an A$$hHOLE. Maybe next time you'll do the right thing and not f#ck over the next guy. Karma is a b!tch huh????

what make a ahole by trading in my old truck deleted or trading with my buddy who know it cant delete but he dont care because his truck is pre emission stuff? What Karma do I deserve. As far I as I concerned favor to next truck owner he does not have to pay to delete it and if he wants more power he can buy a tuner, I dont see the problem

And why is everyone being a jerk to the OP? He asked for an answer to his question, not whether or not a made an ethically sound decision...

Soooo.... ????

Good you got it sorted out.

But Thread Title: "FML Mini Maxx Issues H and S boo"

So maybe it's not H&S's fault??? :confused013:

Well you live, you learn and move on. I ruined a perfectly good race tuner this weekend what did you do? I changed vehicle setting on it to drive home and when it did that it updated the software and firmware, I did not know the sd cards got switched and there is nothing H and S can there hands are tied so I guess I have a street tuner for sale. Hope I didn't hurt to many peoples feelings with this tread title, it will all be okay. What a weekend

It is impossible to change a Race Tuner into a Street Tuner by simply swapping the SD Cards or updating it. However, if someone was to get into the files and tampers or changes file names (attempting to circumvent our Race cross-checks) then it is possible. We put in safe guards so that if there is tampering, you can only go from Race to Street, but not vice-versa.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, but to be compliant we can't change a Street for you back to a Race unit.

I am unclear what you are trying to say, it is not impossible because that is what happened to me. I swapped street tuner sd card with a race mini and bam now a street, am I missing something? I did no such tampering or changing of files. Could you please clarify this a little better, thanks you can message me if you want to keep this off the forum

No offense to anyone, but try using spell check, or look it up in a dictionary. I can't spell worth a damn either, but I do try and double check what I'm typing before I hit submit or send.

I would love some help. So I bought a H&S Mini Maxx tuner and when I tried to unlock it, it said that it was the wrong code and now when I turn the truck on it flashes a white screen for a split second and then after that it just sits on a black screen and I have no way to control it. Any clue what to do?
