My truck is losing power at times, like when I get on the interstate and accelerate it will take off and about teh time it shifts into 3rd or so it just falls on its face, like it defueled, or gets stuck between gears. I can't tell as I try to let out and get it to straighten up. A couple times it has thrown a p0148 code and one more, but I forgot which one it was. I have a Diablo tuner on it, everything else is stock and the tuner is on the 100hp program. Is it overboosting and defueling or tranny going out????? Just curious if anyone else has had the problem. I have a new fuel filter to put on but haven't gotten it on yet. :confused013:

I solved my low power problem. I purchased a 5" exhaust because I have read that I might see some power and mileage increase by putting a 5" exhaust. I had it installed today. I kept the catalytic converter. I looked in it and found out it was 95% plugged. There was about 2" of visible light through the thing. I suspect that this was the root of most of my problems. I have an 06 with 93k 4x4, stock except for the 5".

Your code indicates high rail pressure.
Revert to the stock program, does the problem go away?
If not, check for fuel leaks, if none, test your FCA. If the FCA is fine, test your fuel pressure sensor. It it's fine, test your cascade overflow valve...
The list goes on... but the code you mentioned specifically indicates a high rail pressure.

Well I had a problem like that a long time ago where the truck would fall on its face when getting up to speed. If you gave it a little throttle and slowly got to speed it would be fine. It turned out to be a bad air filter, when the turbo would spool up it would actually suck the air filter up and plug the hose going to the turbo.

I cleaned the air filter a while back but have not installed a new one. You can jar on it hard and it will do fine for a minute, then it falls out, it only throws the code every now and then. I think the other code had to do with the key switch, I wrote it down, I will try to find the paper. I will try the stock program tomorrow.
