I have been having issues for quite some time with my slide pin being too short with the denny t fuel pins and I have kept going through o rings.

The longer slide pin is .5 mm longer and is the longest one available.

My truck no longer hazes at idle and I still retain the same wide open fuel and holy moly she spools fast now... Only so much you can do with your afc.

In case anyone wondered the part number is:

1 463 105 364

I've been having a problem with mine falling or getting coched in there even with a mild pin. Thanks for the info.

Sweet. I had the same issue with my old Denny T stage 1 pin. Called him and he told me that was a not-ready-for-production pin that he made for a few people to try out. He has since redesigned the "ramp" and the sent me one free of charge. haven't had an o-ring problem since. But the longer pin is something I may try, worst comes to worse, I could always grind a little off the AFC lever if the pins to long LOL.

I went through three o-rings in a year and often wondered about this myself. Can those slide pins get stuck open at all? Even with tuning my afc I turn the truck on and shoot a big cloud of soot everytime like its just dumping fuel right away. Idk could be somethin else

yes, mine would get "shot" past the normal amount of travel that the AFC lever will push it. That combined with the rake of the fuel pin's cut would bind the two against each other and keep the fuel pin locked at about 80% of its down travel

No one carries it online. You will need to contact your local injection pump shop. I used advanced diesel out of spokane from mine and they had to special order it out of Seattle.

And just for the record I was given this number originally by bgilbert off of this site, he really helped me out looking for the part number

There has been a sticky on DTR for a long time about this. You can make one as long as you need out of a drill bit.

i wouldn't make one out of a drill bit.. i did the hardness tests on drillbits, the denny t fuel pin, and other items... the best thing to make the afc pin out of is a pin gauge. its hard enough not to wear away like a drill and you can get them down to .0005" size increments. they are only like 3 dollars from MSC too. I've got 2 of them somewhere if i ever feel like tackling this project.... on my truck i had room for .030" longer pin than what is in there now.
