Yes I had this tech 7 years ago on my wife's 2006 Infiniti M45, she'd just clipped the FOB to her purse and that's it. No lost keys or looking for keys last minute, she'd just grab her purse and go. My FOB was set for me so when my FOB was in proximity, I could open the door and the seat, steering wheel, and mirrors would auto adjust for me, I think it could do environment settings as well and just press START. What's annoying is when both you and your better half decide to ride together and you both have your preset FOBs, the computer doesn't know what to do.

As men we really have nothing to permanently clip it to so to me it's just like any other FOB you have to go look for and that's probably why it took so long for the tech to make it to our trucks.

Now I'm just waiting for that intelligent cruse control or do the 13s have it?

I would love to have this. I'll get it in my 2015! It's so strange to watch Dodge (I'll never call it Ram because to me it will always be a Dodge) implement things that are actually in the 21st Century. They were always so far behind...don't get me wrong, they did things very cool and were the first to do many things, but for bells and whistles they were always so far behind. I love that they are doing all these cool things in our trucks! Keep goin' boys.

Our Cadillac CTS has this feature and its really nice, Ram is the only truck brand that offers it as far as I know.

One thing (the only thing) I will mis about my F150 was the door keypad entry. This came in handy more often than you might think. Example: when I went surfing I would just put my keys in the console and lock the door from the key pad. Didn't need to carry anything other than my board. Great feature for sports or even going out on the town. When wearing a suit, You don't have to carry any bulky keys in your pocket...that's nice. I cant count All the time I was thankful for that feature.

I even got a keypad entry lock for my shop. Wish ram had that. But I'll take the cummins with a key fob over the powerstroke with a key pad... It's a fair trade off.

Keyless go nearly gives you Jedi powers. Its a pretty neat feature. $150, Id pay it all day to have the features.

One thing that does annoy me is that even if i do unlock the truck with the clicker, it still sends power to the unlock solenoids and the turn signals when i grab the handle to pull the door open. in theory, if you click the unlcok from the key then the unlocks and lights are being used 2x as much.

Interesting...I dont think mine does that but I need to check....

There have been a rash of incidents where someone has been able to get the unlock code from someone using their key fob to unlock the vehicle and steal whatever is inside. This feature prevents that and plus, I never have to take my keys out of my pocket. Love this feature and worth the $150 option./

Worth every penny!!!

If you have the conv package with correct setup you get the Uconnect phone options also, with the additional options you can Lock/Unlock Start/Stop form phone, with the hot spot you have all kinds of options, I think you can also track the truck.

As has been stated by others, this option is awesome and IMO well worth $150.

I never have to remove my gloves to hop in the truck to get something when on a job site. I don't believe it's possible to lock the keys in the truck but not 100% sure (for this reason I haven't hidden a key on this truck as if it can be done, I will do it).

I also believe the range of the FOB is much farther than my last truck.

ok, I figured two other ways to lock.

1) if you have the rambox cargo bed, you can lock the FOB in the back of the box and its too far for it to pick it up. then manually lock the box with the key.

2) disable "passive entry" setting. the FOB can be locked inside the truck with no issues. this is quick and easy to do in settings.

Correction on the actions it makes when i grab the handle when its already unlocked... the lights flash and the locks for the ramboxes also receive power. the truck door locks to not try again.

Ill have to mess around with the uconnect app, but then id be trusting that my phone desnt break, truck has cell signal... too many things for murphys law to mess me up with. for now ill stick with disabling passive entry when i need to lock the FOB in the truck.

On our 2014 I can use one FOB to lock the other FOB in the truck.

After exiting the truck, I push LOCK on the FOB, the horn sounds 3 quick beeps (to remind me there is a FOB in the truck), and the truck is locked. :confused013:

That is what i am saying..

this is my deal

When I got the truck it came with two fobs...one I keep in the truck all the time. The other I take in and out with me. I can do the following all the time

1. Leave the extra fob in the truck and lock the truck using my other FOB..no issues.

2. Leave the extra fob in the truck and lock it using uconnect...no issues

3. Leave both fob's in the truck and lock using uconnect...i am pretty sure i have done this but will check tonight.

1 and 2 I know work for sure...

Does anyone know if Keyless Go can be added by the dealer. My buddy ordered a truck and forgot to select that option. It is a 2014 Laramie, most other options. Thanks

I have this also. Really like it. My Corvette has this also, I think its called Passive Entry or something. No key. But no Remote start on the Vette due to it being a manual trans

I have this option and I love it, never have to take FOB from my pocket. Even thou I have only had the truck less than a week I have used the remote start 2 mornings in a row.....

Does anyone know whether my dealer is correct in that if the truck wasn't already equipped with remote start and the Keyless Go from the factory that it isn't possible to add the OEM remote start? Being that it seems you need to take what the dealer says with a grain of salt I thought I would ask.

I did a search and came up with this.
Adding Keyless GO

Seems like these guys figured it out for the Cars.
I just wonder if you don't have the right truck the wiring harness might not even be compatible.

It seams all the parts are available. Id need a Parts list to see what all is needed before I could say its possible but it could be a parts order and a plug and play.

The truck I ended up picking is a Big Horn and it doesn't have this option( has every other BS option) but not this one.

Id really like it so if someone knows if we can do this lets get a parts list and how to!

Keyless Go
- makes it so you don't have to stick a key in the ignition to start - you just push a button (as many others have said)
- allows you to unlock the truck by just having the keyfob on you, walk up to the truck, and pull the handle
- allows you to LOCK the truck by pushing the little black button on the door handle, again provided the keyfob is in range
- only available on Laramie / Longhorn / Limited trims, and is an option except for the Limited (standard on that trim)

Remote Start
- requires automatic transmission, at least from everything I can find
- standard on Big Horn, Outdoorsman, Laramie, Longhorn, Limited trims, available as an option on most others

For me, this was one of the first required features I wanted in my truck (that I just ordered yesterday), and started me at a Laramie. Later I moved up to a Longhorn trim to get the higher quality leather seats.

I currently drive a 2009 Big Horn 1500, and the stupid fob gets on my nerves more than I can explain at times. I bought it new so have had it almost 5 years now, (or is it 4? I forget) and both of my fobs have had issues the past year or so. I've opened them, cleaned them, re-glued the dumb little metal discs inside for the button presses - just about everything. So I made the decision I wasn't fighting with a similar designed fob again if I had a choice. Just the thought of having the convenience of leaving it in the truck when I run into the gym, or whatever - not having to fish out my keys every time, just sounded awesome.

All that said - I'm pretty sure if you have an automatic you could get the factory remote start installed. You can definitely add after-market, I can't imagine there is that much more to the factory - but you never know.

I highly doubt you can add the keyless-go after the fact, however. I remember reading a couple different threads that it's tied into a lot more of the system than just the start and unlock features - you can have all of your settings saved per fob, for example - and configure heated seats / steering wheel to come on, etc.

I'm not real sure why it isn't just a standard feature included with Laramie trims and above, to be honest - I immediately discarded a lot of vehicles when shopping because this simple $150 feature was missing. If you're spending $50k or more on a truck like this - what's an additional $150 for something I have yet to hear anyone say they DON'T want? I mean, can make it a 'remove this option' like they do with the bedliner...

anyway, my thoughts on it. After placing my order yesterday, I'm ready for my truck to be here tomorrow! ;)
