Hey, I got a HTT 62/71/13SS on the way. With what I have now in my sig, will it be really slow to light? I'm gonna get 150's in the next couple months, but for now I just plan on running the 50's.

Just curious. Thanks for the input.

i dont have that setup or an upgraded turbo but i would guess alot more noticeable lag then the hx35. Thats why i would go bigger injector before turbo. But its still driveable just has more potential with injectors.

That turbo should light pretty easy I think you have a lot of room to grow in the fuel area but for now it will be very much driveable

Cool, right on guys. Man I can't wait to feel how she runs now. My egt's were out of control with the hx35. I couldn't even floor it really cause it'd jump to 1600+ in a blink of an eye. From everything I researched about the turbo, I think I'm gonna really like it. Thanks for reassuring me too everyone! Now to save for some injectors.

Would 150's be the biggest I can go without getting too hot? That's my biggest concern. I don't mind hitting 1600* for a second or two, but when I'm holding past that for 5-10 seconds, that's what I don't like. So ideally, I want good power, but never really shoot hard over 1600*. Or better yet, hit the 2000* mark like I was at the end of the 1/4 mile! :hehe:

P.S. Oh ya, was gonna mention... gotta love that room to grow part.

It will be waste of time. Please send it to me and I will hold on to it, maybe take it for a spin or two. At least until you get bigger sticks. 

Will I guess we can put the 50's in my truck and see if thats the culprit!!

does your EGT probe have an adjusting screw for the depth of the probe? maybe it is contacting your manifold and giving a false reading? have you ever checked it with a temp gun? just some thoughts.

Never thought about the temp gun. I don't think the probe is touching anything. Roy pretty much put it in, and I think he took great care to make sure it wasn't in too far, or out to far, and it wasn't touching anything. In fact, now that I think about it, I was in the cab hooking up some gauges and we had a lengthy conversation about how far in the probe needed to be. I think he just kinda guessed and put it in about 1/2"-3/4". Something like that. I don't think it's off though. Cruising down the freeway I only see about 700-750 at 65-70mph.

will that turbo support 500? i was looking at that one too cause i can get HTT,s through work

You will love it... you can light it just fine with stock sticks... I have a 62/71/14 with 125 stix... I need to get some different injectors with mine... a tad laggy... But like the others have said when you get those 150's in there its a whole new ball game for ya!

Got it yesterday, will be putting it on this weekend. I'll report after I romp on it for a few miles. :hehe:

Thanks again for all the input guys. Makes it a lot easier to hear from knowledgeable people rather than trying to scower the internet for little bits of info here and there.

Got it on last night from the help of some local cumminsforum guys. Got to make one trip around the block. Pulls very hard when it lights, but the lag is pretty long. I don't think it lit till about 1600-1800. Somewhere in there, I didn't really get a good look. But that was just flooring it. I'm sure if I rolled into the throttle it'd be a different story. And unfortunately I didn't get to drive it long. Had a leak on the drain tube at the gasket. So had to make a midnight run to Cummins NW for a replacement. Should have that put on when the sun comes up, and then it's out for a test drive to see how she really goes.

Overall first impression though... I like it. Definitely can tell it pulls harder when lit. Now to just save up for some 150's.

I'll some pics up later. Thanks to all the guys that showed up for beer, and wrenching. SolidCrew, Sandaholic, Dodge Powe. Thanks. Made it a lot easier with extra hands.
