i see 13/15 mpg tops all the time it sucks to read all yalls post about the 18-20+ the edge is definately not the diesel saver maybe a smarty would be better:confused013: i usually fill up at half a tank and maybe see 220. so 500 would be a stretch for me:doh:

669.2 with just under a 1/4 tank left. That was done all hwy at 74mph about 2000rpm left Casper,Wy drove strait trough to Santa Fe,NM. Santa Fe to Phoenix 524.9 total trip I used just under 1 3/4 tanks of fuel. I think the key was keeping my rpm's at 2000 or less.

Stick or auto, rear end ratio, tire size?

Apparently my truck gets horrible mileage. I think the most ive ever gotten is 450. These are all 34 gallon tanks, yes?
I just squeaked out 478 miles on tank, put in about 29 gallons, looked like the gauge needle was resting on the stop . Best I've ever done. And that was driving like an old lady (no offense if we have old ladies on the forum).

Has everyone getting the good mileage checked there odometer to a GPS?

Best I've ever done was 17.4 mpg hand calculated, put 470 miles on the truck and filled up with 27 gallons. Light came on. This was all freeway at 65-80 mph.

Auto trans,3.73 gear,stock size 235 tires. Smarty level 4,trq/m 4, r/psi stock,II cp3,II dragon flo 90 injectors,fass150/150.
The mpg numbers that I posted in previous post were me trying to see what the best I could do on a trip. My normal is 550 a tank mixed hwy and city.

the tanks are only 34 gallons total aren't they? I put 30 gallons in today, with 570 miles on the trip odo. I stuffed that 30 gallons in, fuel light was not on yet. I figured I get about 18 mpg. I guess I could get 700 to a tank, if I used that "7 or 8 gallons" left after the light came on, which would mean the tank is more like 40 gallons.

personal best for me was 630 miles with needle just above E and light on. Averaged 19.3 miles to the gallon between 70 and 80 mph going from ohio to virginia

I have seen 19mpg if straight highway trip keeping it under 2000rpm (too slow for interstate). Normal hwy mileage is mid 17's to low 18's depending on speed. Faster I go faster my mileage drops. I get 15-16 if just driving around town. Smarty jr bought me 1-1.5 mpg. (all hand calculated)

new truck is 06 mud tires stock except cold air box. 485miles 30 gallons for the tires are i add 2.8 % for tires i am around 16.2 with 70% hwy at 72 mph. but on this last tank i drove 200 miles with a 20 mph stready headwind. I got 200 miles on the 1st quater of the tank i stop filling win it clicks off. i fill up as soon as the light comes on. the afe fully enclosed box gave me a solid 1mpg. i will let you know what the smarty does when i get it on.

bottom line 14.5 city prolly and 17 hwy. i think this is the common real world number for us 4x4 oversized mud tire fellas.

if i slowed to 65 street tires smarty bed cover i am sure i could prolly push 19-20 hwy. 65 is not a real world speed for me.

06 2500 w/Banks Stinger Package, stock other than that. I get 600 to 650. That's mostly highway, I'd say 75%. I found that at 45 to 55 mph my milage is between 23 and 25mpg. As soon as I get her up to 70 it's about 19mpg. Before you guys get all excited about your mileage make sure your odometers are right. Check it against a GPS or the mile markers on an interstate. Mine is off by 2% and it's all stock, go figure.

The best I have EVER seen outta my truck was 320. What size tank do these trucks have? When the light comes on till the pump clicks off is 24 gal. I estimated I had about a 26 gal. tank... is that right?

Should be a 34 gallon tank, big reserve on these trucks.

i just installed smarty beta 4.2 on level 4 stacked with edge j w/ A on level 3 and was playing with alot of black smoke and i got one of my best tanks ever, i got 788 km which was just under 500 miles

Ok so Ive determined that I have an odd truck. My fuel light goes on with 4-5 gallons left in the tank lol.

On another note, my truck is bone stock with 8,500 on the ticker and here goes my tanks
488.4 miles - 16.66mpg (almost all highway)
422.4 miles - 13.42mpg (almost all suburban)
488.3 miles - 16.74mpg (almost all highway)

I went to 560.7 miles and filled it with 31.238 gallons of fuel recently. It hand calc'ed to 17.95 mpg. The low fuel light was not on, the gauge showed just under 1/8th. The DTE showed 140.1 remaining.

It's rare that I let it get much below 1/2 tank to fill it.

Wish I could get the wife to fill 'er up around a quarter tank, she lets the needle go below zero, and the DTE has been zero for a "while".
