I have been eyeing up a set of DAP 100hp injector tips for a while and at the low price they are I don't think I can find a better deal, my worrie is that I might get in over my head on it, really how hard is it to install a set and how many little parts are involved. I've done basic mods like exhaust and worked on my old duster alot, but haven't got really inside my motor yet, any information is appreciated

How old are your current injectors? How many miles?
Might be worth the extra cash to look into new injectors not just nozzles

218,000 miles but I don't know if they have been replaced I don't really have the $$$ right now for whole injectors

You can swap the tips on the 24 valve vp motors? I thought that was only the cr motors ??

Yup, there called nozzles not tips. We all know what your talking about tho.

My deal with nozzles is that not for much more $$$ you can buy new injectors.
Because, once you buy new nozzles you should have your injectors pop tested and that's more $$$. I'd buy injectors before I'd buy just nozzles myself.

I think my dad might actually have a pop tester, when I was about 13 we put some injector in our 4020 and he put them in a thing with a gauge and a handle that you pumped up, it's been a long time il have to ask him

How do you bleed out the air once you get it all back togeather? crack the lines and crank it or just crank it till all the air is out by its self. And will 100's smoke with the smarty turned off?

To prime the system,
Charge the batteries, you're gonna be calling on them.

Be sure the fuel filter canister is full of fuel.

Disconnect the battery charger...very important.
Turn the keyswitch just enough to "bump" the starter to get The Free 25 Second Lift Pump Run.

Your lift pump pressure gauge should show 10 psi or greater.

Loosen the fittings on #1, #3 & #4 injectors with a 3/4" open end wrench.

Crank the engine for 10 seconds then check and tighten any wet, dripping fuel injector fittings.
Repeat the 10 second cranks & tighten the wet injector fittings until the engine kicks, trying to start then tighten the remaining loose fittings and start the engine.

Will be buying dap 100 nozzles in the next few weeks. My motor only has 88xxx miles the injector bodys should be fine. I will post my performance opinion of them.

Heck I don't even need that much power. Just my +50HP and Edge Comp I can get the tires to break loose in 2nd and 3rd gears. 100HP injectors would be too much for my truck and where I live.
