This data was provided today from H&S Engineers and it took a 35 minute conversation to get this info. 2010-2012 timing in degrees. First thing I notice is its more conservative from previous data I have found online and what this means to me is I will be running mild/3/No ATT. If it wasn't for me seeing this data today, I would have ran the tune of mild/2/No ATT.

Best regards

Level 1 is 18 degrees
Level 2 is 21 degrees
Level 3 is 24 degrees
Level 4 is 26 degrees
Level 5 is 31 degrees

The original post is correct as far as a maximum timing value. But remember, changing timing settings is not only changing a maximum value. The 1-5 timing settings is changing the entire timing map. Injection timing can range from 8 degrees after TDC to 31 degrees before TDC.

The higher the timing value you use, the more aggressively the timing will ramp to that value. Maximum timing is only part of the equation. You must also understand that there are thousands of timing values throughout the rest of the timing map.

Here are some illustrations of one of the timing maps in a 2010 Cummins. When you select a 1-5 timing choice, more than just the highest value in the map is changing. Hope that makes sense!

That's a great chart for the timing level of 1. Anyway to get a couple more of those black and green charts with level 2 and 3? I'm looking at difference rpm ranges with my 4.10 axle ratio and seeing what rpm's to stay away from by looking at that graph. Thanks for the info. :)

Yes, you can also use our MCC software to see exactly what timing values your truck is running. Simply export the same file you are running on your truck right now from your Mini Maxx. Then open it in the MCC program, it is free to use until you want to actually make changes and load a tune:

Here are some examples of what the different timing option levels look like:

H&S thank you for taking the time to post that information. You guys are the greatest and as of today I'm your newest customer... Love the results of mild/3/No ATT. When I get done having fun with my new truck, I'll spend some time looking over all those charts you just posted. :)

We are each different and on a stock truck I wouldn't even think about downloading the hot damn tune with timing on 5.

I just got back from a 68 mile off-road test and pulled off 20.8 (hand calculated) mpg at 65 mph with mild/3/No ATT. No need to do any further tweaking on this truck. H&S is amazing and all my research sent me to the right tune on the first try. Point being is I don't have a need for wild or hot.

For those who are curious, I just did another off road test run on the tune in my signature. Max boost from a stand still to full throttle was only 30.2 psi for a half a second then boost held around 27 psi until I let off the pedal. Boost out on a straightaway road at full throttle in 6th gear would never go over 27-28 psi. My fuel rail pressure maintained 26,500 psi at full throttle and then slowly came down from there.

Once you update it to the new fusion software it is awesome. It pulls all kinds of parameters and has an entire fuel logging system that will tell you more than you'll ever need. LOL. Don't forget to order a EGT probe. I think you will be very happy with the touch screen display and its size. Go for it!

Thanks for the information. Will that egt probe go in the block off plate of cooler. Also good info on the tune your running I will be running the same tune. Just need better fuel mpg pulling my job trailer everyday.

Gentlemen,

Attached below is some actual pictures of what I was referring to in the above posts. Note: APP stands for accelerator pedal position. Notice that it's 100% and my OEM rpm needle below is showing 2500 and up as the truck is pulling through the gears at full throttle. One picture is 4th gear and the other picture is 6th gear. I'm showing this so you can see rail pressures, boost, rpm's and throttle position.

I'm assuming the boost is in the "sweet spot" for the stock turbo. If anybody's knows please feel free to provide your opinions.

Those boost numbers look low. I run mild timing 2 or sometimes 3 if I am not towing. My boost goes up to 30 at 3/4 throttle and will hit 40 at WOT. I am running xrt pro, so no defuel peramiters for me. I wish I could drop the boost down some...I don't want to replace a HG.

I agree, but it also proves its a safe and stable tune. I can get it to spike at 30.2 for a second when pulling hard off the line, but otherwise 27 is all she has to offer. I'll test boost when I tow 8500 pounds in a couple more days. What version software are you running? I have the latest .21

Note: keep in mind I don't have aggressive turbo tune. If you want to drop your boost numbers lower, just download the custom tunes and select no ATT.

Just found this post from a few months ago,
1 - 24 Degrees
2 - 26 Degrees
3 - 28 Degrees (Default, this is what the older tunes are set on)
4 - 30 Degrees
5 - 32 Degrees
So when did they change the timing table. Was is the latest update?? There is a big difference between the two timing tables.
