Bought mine from James at RSD and in my opinion the 5" with NO MUFFLER is very quiet compared to diesels I hear with the 5.9 running around town with their exhaust setups.

Very quiet at low rpm, sight drone at 80mph. Probably pulling a load it will be a little more deep but want know that till this evening.

Very impressed with the low decibels without a muffler. Have no plans to put one on except for inspection...

:agree2:
The Flo Pro 5" without a muffler sounds great. It might be a bit annoying if you live in a subdivision and go to work early in the morning. The muffled version still sounds good when you get into it. Most of my customers opt for the straight pipe though.

i have mine with the muffler... sounds good to me not very loud and no real drone unless your lugging it at low speeds. and it is SS

i wouldnt think it would be much louder without muffler myself but ... if you want louder straight is the only way to go!

Get the straight-thru w/no muffler...I don't notice a drone...maybe already going deaf!:hehe:

I have the 5" Flow Pro TBE with the muffler installed. It is actuall louder than I prefer a highway speeds. I also have an extra muffler. Would it be quieter if I installed the other muffler in line with the one I have on there now, or would it make a difference? Just brainstorming.

Well that much I knew. The problem I am running into is finding out how long the Flo Pro muffler is. The Aero 5050 is I believe 20in. Also, if i order the Flo Pro without the muffler, according to the pictures it looks like there is a straight pipe used in place of the muffler versus just a longer pipe. Is that the case in reality or are the other pipes actually longer requiring me to cut 20in of pipe?

Did you buy yet? I got my 5" stainless flo-pro from Cobbs...really happy with it - except the drone. I think I'm gonna try a resonator from FTE; I love loud, but not the drone.

i have a 5 inch with no muffler and i really like the sound, but the clamps that came with it sucked. checked them every day for week and the first pipe after my down pipe still fell off twice. i ditched the clamps and welded it. np problems since then.

i`ve been ruuning my expandit system with an Aero 5050 (non-resonated) muffler & am fairly happy with it.... i have also run it straight piped & love it but being a contractor i get alot of looks when i pull into a potential customers house...... so i`m always looking for something better sounding but loud also.

I don't think so - If your towing lots it sounds like $hit but thats just my opinion . I have a flopro twister - not to quiet and not to loud
